Its not a surprise brands like this exist, there is lots of demand and money to be made, attracting these sorts of entrepreneur types (the whole strategy consists of catering to a broad audience like the clout goblins of miami u mentioned), BUT its important to note that ultimately we the consumers drive this demand thus creating these substance-less brands, and they're just filling in the gaps. The real change will come when we inspire other fashion consumers to elevate their taste which is why videos like this are important !!
@LOWluxury8 ай бұрын
For sure, ppl keep doing it because it works. But I do think with this style there’s a real cartel vibe of entrepreneurs and store owners working overtime to get this stuff hyped, placed on celebrities and athletes and whatnot, in order to pump up something without a lot of substance behind it
@Collie_Pollie8 ай бұрын
@@LOWluxury really interesting yeah that cartel aspect is quite concerning but I guess im optimistic since i think that it's an unsustainable long term approach by the fact that prices are high yet the product is not worth much besides the shallow signalling/flexing stuff

Wow dude I actually liked one of RRR123 shirts. One that said it’s faith not magic… but it’s like 69,300 yen which I guess is like $500… too much for a shirt
@kashikoisakai92018 ай бұрын
It’s 700 ish dog
@peterkoinzell79838 ай бұрын
@@kashikoisakai9201 No the Yen is way down if you didn't know. 69,300 is actually 443$ idk if that includes taxes cuz when I buy over seas sometimes they include taxes and shipping on the sticker price. I don't know why cuz I recently discovered taxes in Europe ("VAT") is like at a 25% rate so when I buy in the US sometimes price goes down even more b/c it's Florida and we dont pay not nearly 25% in taxes. (plus you put that on your business if you can.) What I don't understand; LOWluxury paid 1.2k recently for two t shirts from ERD. What again is the difference between ERD and RRR123? I'm new to this fashion and I never paid 500$ for a t shirt. Not that I would lightly or blindly. ERD now seems the obvious place to do that if I wanted to but I don't understand why. RRR123 screen prints on blanks and ERD sews their fabrics together and then prints on them? Or ERD is more established?
@lasoul6808 ай бұрын
@@peterkoinzell7983ERD is simply the grandfather of these bullshit style brands that aren’t actually real designing or garment construction
@LOWluxury8 ай бұрын
@@peterkoinzell7983 it’s really subjective so any explanation I give is probably going to feel somewhat arbitrary. ERD has been around for almost ten years so they’ve kind of earned their place more. In my opinion there’s more of a point of view there, like an artistry and passion for the work. But truly buy what you like, if RRR is your vibe and you can afford it, no judgement here
@peterkoinzell79838 ай бұрын
@@LOWluxury Nah, I only liked that one shirt. Actually looking now at RRR's entire catalog; this stuff looks kinda embarrassing. I didn't even know what ERD meant. Now I've listened to the founders story. Yeah ERD actually has a philosophy and I saw their shows are great. Which I've seen bliss foster review the last one a while ago but didn't realize, I guess that that was ERD. Kinda messed up that I learned RRR123 before ERD. Just the one shirt cuz I like religious inuendos even though am heathen. You heard of hellstar? I really like, like 3 of their designs. The founder seems like a nice guy too. Those T's are cool imo. But prolly geared for zoomers more lol with a late 90's big t graphic kinda gangsta/hiphop twist.

Yeah the "free game" stuff was massive and probably really did help a lot of people get their brands off the ground, but a lot of them never moved past step 1 of "print some graphics on cheap blanks." There's nothing wrong with that, it's a great first step to get your brand started and see if you're any good at it, but you can't be charging 300-500 for that stuff.

Soulless and mimicry clothing. You can feel it when you look at the pieces. This is like the shit you see walking past forever21 but you know f21 is cheap crap so it's almost ok. This is like the 0.5 tier higher than f21, same soulless crap but maybeeee??? higher quality and maybeeee??? slightly more unique but that's just cuz they copy from the real, original piece. We'll see a lot more NPCs on the streets now, zero ability to recognize they enjoy wearing essentially knock offs and being low tier doppelgangers of the original.

This is actually a fair comment so I’ll lay out the series of events. If you look at my channel, I basically review clothes for the most part. I see this new brand was popping off, saw a piece that looked cool, and tried to see if I could get my hands on it. When that didn’t work out, I started looking at whether I wanted to try grabbing something from one of their stockists, but really wasn’t a big fan. It was at that point that I decided the look into the background of the brand before shelling out hundreds for something I was on the fence about. I could have just not even included the fact that I reached out to them but I think it’s important to show that I wasn’t setting out to make a hit piece - I had genuine interest in what they were doing and that’s what started me down this rabbit hole.
