I understand what he means by the switch in your head. I've been stumbling around in the dark looking for that switch for years. Finally found it. As a designer myself, everything finally just clicked. I was working on a concept one day and had a solid idea/representation for it. Then I realized there was another deeper concept within it and it was a whole other brand of its own. And then again, and again. And out of working on just one concept I've developed 5 solid brands. Feel's amazing.

I missed him. I used to listen to his interview and conference while he spoke about art and design. He was not like any rapper/ hiphop/ stylist who had some fame then try to put a label on things and sell. He actually had an art vision and it was a genius one. He communicates art like a tech or an scientist talks about engineering, concise, clear and make senses.

Yes perspective is key, I often sit and not only think of the box in the box outside the box but all the angles and of the box itself. And my phrase is: be cool be true be you. Anything and everything is possible through the imagination inspiration creativity. Another one of my catch phrase is: if you can conceive it you can achieve it. Great job Virgil and by the way I like the name LOL

@@yugopriest1406Virgil was the 1 who tells those girls what to do… he visualizes the whole “big picture” of the brand and delegates roles to the technical designers. This explains why his title at LV was “Creative Director.” not “fashion designer.” To be clear Virgil had the technical design skill… probably more then most fashion grads (he has a masters degree in architecture.) It’s very necessary in this industry to possess that skill… so you can COMMUNICATE it to your team. I wrote this to clear up all of your uneducated claims. I will not be returning to reply to anyone.
