Peter, Miles, and Otto are my 3 favorite Spider-Men. I love the other webheads too but those 3 are my favs for taking on the mantle of Spider-Man. Miles should take up the mantle fully sometime after Amazing Spider-Man 1000. I love having both fight crime at the same time, but I would like Peter to get to have a Happily Ever after ending. A real one. He could be like Jay Garrick (The original Flash) from DC. He is kinda like a retired hero who still helps out when he is needed. I don't feel like Peter needs to die. Just give him the Happy ending most heroes don't get.

It’s a spin-off game, not a full sequel, so if they killed Peter in it it wouldn’t make any sense. They wouldn’t have a sequel, unless they wanted to do the sequel with just Miles, but in that case this spin-off wouldn’t have any reason to exist.

Can I just say even before Spider-verse and Spider-man PS4, Miles Morales has always been my second favourite Spider-man (that's saying something considering how many spidermen there are)? His character has always resonated with me, not just because both he and I are black/bi-racial, but because he was a new spiderman with a new style and an art-like feel to him, especially coming from an amateur illustrator. I love the character and so proud my boy is getting his own game.

Peter's alive in current continuity and exists alongside Miles. His retconned origin is that Morbius was attacking his friends on a field trip and he had to step up to keep them alive. Ganke then convinces him to become a superhero. This was in the first issue of Spider-Geddon I think

While Miles worked well on 1610 Earth taking over after Peter, it’s not the only way for him to be utilised. Miles is a legacy character now like the rest of the new gen in 616. He has his own corner in the MU living in Brooklyn, fighting with the Champions & being mentored by Pete. Also Miles has become popular as Spider-Man for them to up & change his name.

His Uncle Aaron was in homecoming and he mentioned his nephew. I would assume they go the route in which both get to be Spider-Man like in the MCU, because Peter is such a Cash Cow.
