Correa's GIDP problem last year was related to a plantar fasciitis problem. Having HAD PF, it will absolutely kill you in any sport until it heals, and it's REALLY hard to heal.

Correa’s 2023 problems were due in large part to plantar fasciitis which is one of the most painful and frustrating foot problems to have. I’m glad he healed in the off season, it’s like walking on knives.

Hes averaged 4.4 WAR/650 PAs with the twins and he averaged 6.9 with the astros. His only sub 3 WAR seasons were 2020 (1.7, so on pace for around 4) and last year when he was hurt and only managed 1.3. Hes already at 3 for this season Hes been pretty consistently excellent in his career

I’m a Cubs fan as well and I feel the same way. He was my favorite player. I remember the day all of them got traded. He played good for the Mets, and so the tigers gave him that huge contract. I thought it was a bit risky, but that he’d still be good on a winning tigers team in the future. Wow was I wrong.

Those were fun times for baseball. Also right before balco and the list that kind of suck some of the magic out of things. For me, baseball was at its best when “this week in baseball came every weekend” and I got the Sunday paper and I got to see every players season stats and read their weekly recap, collecting baseball cards, Ect. The entire sport seems much more like a business about ratings and hype than it did back then.
