No roads....no social life after 5 pm....girls and boys were picked up any time.....actually army black cat operation was mated out for several years. Innocent boys went missing. U can't understand....I wonder how much u have educated urself about the rest of india.first do that ...only then u will have a proper understanding. Just because u are picking one specific time and event ...leaves behind a long trail of past misdeeds. I rest my case. If u truly care u will surely open up ur mind and educate urself. U can check "ranveer allahabadia" or "praveen mohan" or "abhijeet chawla" to get a kick start. Thank you. Also development is a step by step process....it is happening now in assam and hopefully it will keep on happening ..

I was born in guwahati assam in the 1990s, back then during the rule of khangress, there was terrorism everywhere, every year in 15th Aug and 26th Jan, there used to be bandhs, bomb blasts, our parents used to prevent us from going outside during independence day and republic day, it was almost a deserted place then, when i came to delhi in 2010 I realised how people in other states in INDIA celebrate independance day.., this is the gift of 60 years of khangress… now guwahati is a much different place under bjp, no terrorism, no bandh culture, more development…

Insurgency reduction is a slow process, only development can tackle it, check Telangana and AP for example, naxals strong hold vanished once the areas started developing. Current clashes between communities in North East is mainly about reservations and politicians manipulating people for their wins and trying to create instability. It’s no coincidence that these are happening when elections are near. People have short term memories and historic amnesia, politicians use this to puppet the brainless

I am from NE & I don't see much material development here (huge development as stated) except Assam, this little to least developmental activities will automatically happen whichever the political party is in government. So it's an exaggerating statement. And coming to insurgency, peace deals & ceasefire agreement by Govt with insurgent groups gave later the right to collect taxes and harrassed citizen regularly. U can't imagine business communities here are tax harshly leading to price hike and it's us the common pple are bearing brunt. So it's unwise to have a viewpoint of the entire NE regions & generalize it basing on ur experience of a particular state or city.
