Interesting what Neevesy experienced . Very relatable about the difference between RS & R. It begs the question, since the 'S' is gone, is the Trident going to get a 95 horse/ 75Nm version of this engine instead of the lovely but slightly wheezy 80 hp / 64 Nm it has now?

Put the 765R motor in the Trident and you'll have a real winner! Not everyone is interested in repli-racers for street use. The one thing the Moto Journalist would make a new comer to this sport believe is that we all take our bikes on track.

They should just give the Trident the same 675 engine that the original street triple had, with 106hp. That was a perfect engine
@karsteng1809 Жыл бұрын
No, no and no it's not gonna happen. The Trident is positioned where it is, the former 660ccm Street S engine would not make a lot of sense I vote for a Trident 900/960, aim to have 110-125 HP an 90 NM torque, chassis a little bigger then the Trident 660, basically same neo Retro Look and perfected for road use 😁

Neevsey, you are the elder statesmen of bike reviews 🤘(meant as a compliment - I'm a fair bit older than you, BTW ). I've liked all of the reviews, and reviewers, I've watched, and they all draw the same conclusion (I can't help thinking about the power of a corporate sponsored junket). I've been a Triumph triple (Sprint 955i) owner for the past 8 years, and I've become a bit of a fanboy, I have to admit. But as has been said in these review forums, Triumph has some killer bikes in their lineup. If I had he means I would be happy to own 3 or even 4 of them, and the Street Triple would be one of 'em. Thanks for the solid work! ✌

I bought one in Sep last year, the R. I prefer the analogue tacho. Not had it's first service yet but very tempted to upgrade to new model R or RS. I went straight to Triumph standard at Excel. Fine review sir, as always... Gold Standard. It's the added technical and rider experience details you give which stands out. Thanks again, been waiting all week for your review. PS. If I have one gripe with my R over my previous Duke 790 it's that the pegs are bit higher which make my hips twing a bit. I'm 6ft to. I'll probably get used to that but I'm looking at 1" lower pegs, the only company I can find that does those, non adjustable ones so just a straight down drop in height, is US based company Knight Design LLC. Cheers, best job in the world bloke!

Im in the same boat. Bought the R in the summer and now thinking about the RS. Half the time i think its worth the upgrade half the time i think its just FOMO and should stick witht the 2022. I just sold my 2018 Street R which I loved, and test rode the new R recently. While the new R is nice and I liked its slightly more upright geometry, it is cheaper in a few ways than my old Street R. The handlebar switch gear is definitely cheaper, that TFT dash is horrendous IMO versus my old color TFT display, and they told me at the dealership that it has a plastic tank now too? The new R definitely felt more taut and compact versus my old generation and I wonder about its stability at speed versus the old Street. Trying the quick shifter for the first time was definitely weird. I just had one question, I know you said the RS is a bit more nose-down/ass high than the R, but overall, is it more upright than the old Street R?
