@Jasper in the Philippines yeah I spent 6 months seeing Manila and all around Cagayan De Oro. Camiguin is not a big travel spot yet, kinda like Surigao was not about 15 years ago. Now its surfer and European people city. It's fun but kinda a tourist vibe and prices.

For the next few years, there will be more jobs remotely available even if you're in Ph. I'm sure you can do that. thank you for sharing your story with us Jasper. I’m a filipino who lives and works in USA and I agree with you. I am much more happier living in the PH with less than living in the US with more. Life is short, we will leave all the material things when we die and nobody really cares. I will live in the PH before I get old because life in the US is repetitive and it’s all about the money. It’s also rare to find a lot of people in the USA that you can connect with on many levels because everyone is different and mostly care about the money.
@JasperinthePhilippines Жыл бұрын
Yeah you don’t get buried with your Mercedes in your 80 inch television and a beautiful little 1200 square-foot house on the beach is pretty much the same as an 8000 square-foot house all that matters is did you smile today did you spend time with your loved ones did you eat good food? Did you walk the city or the beach or the mountains whatever you prefer and did you really enjoy life as a human being “things” do not make you happy people relationships nature those are the things that make you happy. Not possessions are having a bigger television in your neighbor having a Watch that’s worth the price of three houses in the Philippines all of that is nonsense and we do that to impress women and our peers.

It is always heart warming to hear of foreigners choosing our country for needed peace of mind and relaxation. It also makes us proud of our roots. In late 1938 our President, Manuel Quezon, gave refuge to 1,300 German Jews who were being persecuted by the Nazis in their home country. This was after no country in the world, including the United States, would allow them entry. Then another Filipino president Elpidio Quirino embraced Russian refugees in the late 1940s. I guess our hospitality has been proven over and over again. So Mabuhay and welcome to the Philippines! Borrowing from Mr. Spock, long may you live and prosper!

Dude, you are not kidding about prices going up and up in the States. Just eating out alone, we have noticed that our usual bills from really nice and upscale restaurants to fast foods like Panera have gone up by 40%. WTF! My salary increase last year was a measly 4.5%. That's why I and my husband are moving to the midwest when the cost of living is not that expensive compared to the East Coast!

Yeah absolutely I noticed that like my favorite all you can eat sushi place went from like $20-$40 like I said in the video eggs went from one dollar to six dollars gas basically doubled rent basically doubled but none of our pay really went up or even in my small business. I didn’t start making more money. I started making less money, and we went into a quiet recession.

For all Foreigners coming here. Our country has its ups and downs and problems too. The general view of our country are happy and friendly people. Yes it’s true because we don’t want too much material dominates out mind, it’s more on relationship within you, towards families, friends and people. It’s the common expression, smiles and the world smiles at you. The first thing you noticed here are people are too slow specially in services. You’ve got to have lots of patience like the Filipinos. Avoid negativism. We don’t put pressure on that, killing emotions is a waste of time. The reality of people coming here is they’re fighting the RAT RACE in that part of the world that HUMANITY’s forgotten. Just stay zen, relax and happy. Jasper: I do appreciate your honest opinion and experienced living in the US. The pressure and the stress that suffers our well being. My family for years, asked me ( when my mom vacation here) every time to move there, I refused. It’s not fair to compared Aus to the US bcoz of different political systems. OZ is a welfare state where free universal healthcare is free called Medicare. Less populated, no mass shooting due to guns laws strict/ not allowed by anyone , depends on individual eg police, military however this is very long process, less crime . Where I live it’s a lay back lifestyle, white sand beaches, Queensland State, voted as 17 ( if not mistaken ) best place in the world. Semi tropical weather, sunshine all year around. Of course, overall still cheaper in the 🇵🇭 as you see KZbin some retired / or older OZ expats choose to move there. An awesome content & congratulation almost to reach 8k subs

For sure BGC is cool, I never get tired of seeing BGC..especially at night. Had many a romantic night on the balcony in our condo in BGC, sipping a gin/tonic …only downfall is the traffic/pollution and the cost of a nice condo. Otherwise absolutely love it 😊…all the best 🙏

Hello Jasper, You have just described the last couple of decades of my life. As for the family who always had their hands out wanting more, they are gone. The couple of good ones died and the rest who knows. Now the wife says you go and see how you like it, while she sits there crying over our dog dying. There's nothing in America for me.
@JasperinthePhilippines Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I just realize there was nothing left in America for me besides my father and he’s 79 years old and has a new girlfriend and we would see each other every month or two or on holidays and I thought why be miserable and lose money to see your father a few times a year I don’t really have anything left here. I don’t have any desire to get into a new relationship. I don’t have a desire to rebuild my business and get back to making huge money. I just am done with it. I have had enough of the stress it’s too much. The politics is too much. I don’t like the women I don’t like the inflation. I just said I’m gonna give this a shot. Let’s see if I can make it work with a little bit of money that I have and you know.

Trump, a life long Democrat, but a successful businessman who works all the time. That was a change I could vote for. So around eight years ago I started writing for Trump's internet team "Dorothy and Toto" on Yahoo. It was a good break from arguing with Monsanto's disinformation specialist and preaching against things like the military industrial complex and geo-engineering. The only thing that got me was several attempts on my life. Like when the semi rear ended us or the time they turned our car off on the Georgia highway.

I think the Danger Zone really took off when I explained in detail how the 19 Elite Forest Firefighters in Arizona somehow got trapped and died.

@@JasperinthePhilippines I was delusional thinking I could change things on line. And I'm not about to go stand at the front gate at Scott Air Base and protest geo-engineering. I would be peeling potatoes for the rest of my life. A lot of interesting stories, but KZbin isn't the right place for them. I'm trying to put it All behind me and move on. Right now I'm choosing between St Luke's Hospital and Barnes Hospital at Washington University which e is one of the Top hospitals in the world. But then there's the stress free beaches and 10,000 steps or more a day with all I need to eat out in the backyard.

I was going to move to Thailand next august... I watched your video and really am considering calling it quits and moving when I get in from the current offshore job I am on. I do want to visit the Philippines, and will eventually. I have already been to Thailand 12 times and know how to live there for cheap. I dont drink or smoke or have an abnormal sex addiction. I am happy with a gym membership, a swimming pool, fast internet and cheap food.
