If it is something you actually use and can speak about truthfully I would not think badly of you for taking sponsorship. I like your quiet introverted style and I want to see you successful with this. I know from personal experience how it is to build my home out of a ruin and live happily in it. A thoughtful person like you deserves that experience.

I started following your channel because I found your style of delivery much easier to watch than many of the 'instagramable-life-is-great-all-day-every-day' youtubers who are just exhausting to watch. Plus, I don't mind seeing sponsorship or product promotion that helps you fund the renovation, so don't feel the need to pass up an opportunity (so long as it's not overdone) - we can always hit fast-forward 😁

I love your channel, and I have no problem with you sponsoring products. You're trying to make money on KZbin. That's why you're doing it. And i'm all for as long as it's not three per episode. I totally understand why you would do it. So don't cut yourself short just because we won't like it.

Don't change Lewis, your style of presentation is wonderful, along with a dry and very amusing humour to boot. I think what I've liked about this vid above all is the fact that you're very open and honest; traits that I find less nowadays in humans... well, in the UK anyway. I wish you well, both you and Marion. All the best 👍

I wouldn't be worried by the cracks in the maçonnerie so far. When you think about it: you've changed the environment of this corner quite much. Of course, you've done right to the house, but within the 2 centuries life of it, adding gutters is a Révolution ! The maçonnerie needs to adjust, adapt, and settle to the changing environment. That's exactly what a 40 years old house can't do because it's too rigid. Like the videos 📹 greetings from la Manche

Great video, I'm sorry you have both been under the weather, I hope you both feel better soon. I love your videos and I loved your answers to the questions, it does annoy me that people think they have the right to know the cost of everything, it seems to be a thing that if you make videos you have tell everyone the details. With sponsors, I feel if it is a product you use or trust in and it can help with your renovation then why shouldn't you take an offer. I hope you have a good week and thank you again for another great video x

The biggest lesson i have learned myself is: *"do it for yourself".* In the past i often thought to myself that i had helped others for their sake. But when i did not get back the positive reaction i was expecting, i was often sad and angry. This has led to some very ugly interactions where i realized that i had been taken advantage of and i did not enjoy the things i did in my free time anymore. I finally came to the conclusion that if i do everything predominately for myself, i would only have myself to blame if i was not happy about it. Therefore i would first think if a new project is fun or not and then decide if i want to do it. I will never again set myself back to seemingly help someone who might not really like or want my help in the first place. It is sometimes quite comical to find a reason why something is actually done for myself or for my entertainment but in the end, it helps since i can stop any time without having a a bad conscience.

You be you! Re advertising, just maybe accept things that are useful to your project and be honest about their practicality, pros and cons. Then you shd satisfy your ethics and your pocket! It’s hard work what you do so may as well make the most of the opportunity, in my humble opinion. The ads are on most channels and we all deal with it!

Its not so much the actual content as it is your style and delivery. now this further observation might seem strange but i suffer from tinnitus and your tone of voice and delivery always helps me to relax and reduces my tinnitus. you could use this talent to narrate short stories to help people relax and reduce stress. no offence intended but it works for me.

I think I will add to the ringing endorsement of your style and dry delivery. I certainly do get a bit hacked off with the YT gushing about how excited they are and how everything is awesome and how happy they are as they glug on a disgusting green liquid (AG1) and then go on how they improve their mental health by having access to an online ‘trick cyclist’. As for sponsorship on your channel - if you can find the right sponsor for ‘appropriate stuff’ that you also need for the project (including tools) - it has to be worth doing. You are doing all the right things (BTW I thing AG1 is an analogue of salad soup).😉

Well, yes, I also sometimes fall asleep while watching your video’s. On the other hand I do like the slow mode you are in. Let me share a shortcut with you on how to work the numbers for your project. This is a very useful equation for almost anything really. Here it is. Is your wife happy? Then the numbers work, because Happy wife = Happy life. And I just noticed on this video, is that aluminum flashing on the chimney? If it is, that's a bummer. Copper or lead with a patina on it is so much nicer on the eyes.

My personal opinion about sponsorships etc is that, if I watched a TV show, (and, yes even YT in general) I see ads that make $$ for the station. So, as far as I am concerned, there is no difference between the YT/TV ads, and you talking about your sponsor's items/services. You need to get paid, too, and YT barely gives creators much of a % from their ads. You could always run them at the end so people can click off if they don't wish to watch. FWIW, I like your presentation/attitude. No fluff or fakery.💕💕💕

Don't change your style (unless YOU want to). People have the choice to follow or not. I find your dry British humour quite entertaining. As for sponsorship, you're entitled to make some money from your video if you chose to. To be honest, other KZbinrs I watch do it and if I'm interested in the product I follow along. If not, I skip past it. I would only say, if you accept a sponsorship, do it only because you would actually use the product and that it furthers your goals for the project. I don't need to see a luggage advert for a home reno project, for example. And finally, you can ignore my advice or any stupid comments you get here. It's the only way to stay sane in the digital world.
