I started to go down this route. We visited the local marinas to see what was for sale. We found numerous boats like this from the 90's that were in good shape for right around $25k. They all seem to depreciate down to this level unless they're inoperable. Unfortunately, after looking further into getting a slip (in some cases needing to join the club), put it in and out of water, store it during the winter because it's too big to trailer, didn't have a trailer, etc. The $25k spent to purchase the boat, quickly became half of the overall cost of ownership for about 2 years and that wasn't considering regular maintenance costs or breakdowns. Instead, I bought a brand new trailer ready boat for about $60k.

Adding up the slip cost, haul in/out, winterizing, off season storage and in many cases initiation with/or annual membership fees. We figured we would spend another $25k in two years. This didn't include insurance, regular maintenance or unexpected problems.

Depends where you live. Bought ours 3 years before covid hit and paid 25k Canadian plus tax. But that was a good deal! Others like it were listed 32k and up Added a new custom camper top (10k). Replaced 3 hatches ($3300) each year we have to take it out of the water (600) shrink wrap it (500) winterize it (500) and insure it. Our Marina charges $2400 a year for 40ft of dock space. Hope that helps.

Education time: 3 types of motors: 1) outboard-hangs on back of boat. 2) inboard-car engine type with a propeller coming out the bottom of the boat. 3) inboard/outboard-car engine type with the the drive/propeller coming out the back of the boat, ie through the transom. ***You do NOT have corvette outboards, sorry but no such thing. I thought you would correct yourself, but you never did & it's a big mistake on your part. Your music was not offensive to me, just not needed. Keep up the good work your doing fine.👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂

The city of Long Beach and many municipalities in California auction off boats for as little as five dollars ....you can go on KZbin to boat auction Long Beach and you can get a 30 foot sailboat for two or $300 or you can get a nice cabin boat for maybe 6000 but that’s not the issue the reason they’re giving these bolts away virtually is there is a several year waiting listFor a birth anywhere in California on the ocean! Or Marina del Rey there’s a 13 year waiting list along.

At 1:49 did he say this 1994 boat is "equipped with two levers to power both of the corvette outboards"? What boater says that? The two levers left of the steering wheel are for shifting gears (forward, neutral, and reverse) and two to the right are the throttles for two inboard engines. Not outboards! Also, as others have said, please balance your sound better, because your music was very loud while your voice audio was rather quiet. Good luck!

You know what, I will make a video and I first put up some 'music' at level 10 and when I start talking I put the sound back to 3 so everyone screw up the sound a bit so they can hear it and just when they think it's fine I stop talking and put back the 'music' at 10.
