This is an install/modification of the Ironman 4x4 adjustable caster correction bushings that I changed from 1-3 degrees of caster to 3-4.

Love the slap stick intro👍 Very cool! Look forward to seeing what adventures you and Ryan encounter this week

I’m hoping it’ll involve plenty of mud and winching

Castor from offset bushes is worst way, better go with radius arm with built in castor.
@Austin_SaintOnge4 ай бұрын
Agreed 100%! These bushes only lasted 6 months. I ended up going for a 6 inch lift on that truck so I eventually went with drop brackets and OEM rubber bushes

Ill re align mines i have the same issue with the ironman bushings

Yeah I think the consensus is that caster plates/radius arms are the way to go.

@@motogp2375 you got it bud! Of course- I’d check all of your tie rod ends and there’s a little bushings grommet that holds the steering shaft in the firewall. But tightening the steering box 100% helps!

@@Austin_SaintOnge will do! Will definitely do a thorough check in all the areas you mentioned. I appreciate all the help!

@@motogp2375 alignment can have something to do with steering play definitely - but unless something is bent- doing the above things will bring it back to factory specs. If you bring it to Firestone- they’re going to use a laser algorithm to determine toe/caster/camber/steer ahead and it will always be a little different which is why I don’t bother

Great video man …do I have to castor correct for a 2 “ lift ?
@Austin_SaintOnge Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don’t think it’s really necessary- the bushing options that are available aren’t as sturdy as the Toyota ones. And the caster correction brackets are overkill imo

How are the bushing’s working out for you? Still good?
@Austin_SaintOnge3 жыл бұрын
Actually I’m not a fan of them! I think it’s mostly because I’ve changed their orientation so often by pressing thin in and out but I’m going to end up going back to rubber bushings. I’m also going to a 6 inch lift so I’ve opted to go with both radius arm drop brackets and caster plates. I addressed part of it in my 6 inch lift video. However, I’ll be having to overhaul the entire setup now due to the drastic changes that come with lifting the truck that much. The goal is to fit 40s. Should have everything sussed out at the end of this month in a video.

@@Austin_SaintOnge thanks. Yeah I’m trying to decide if I go factory bushings and caster plates or delta arms. Mine wanders with the ome j lift. Previous owner installed the caster correction bushings but it’s not enough.

@@lsswapped80 factory bushings plus castor plates. I got both from Ironman the bushes are only $each! Have to get them while they have them in stock though. Theyre out at the moment but I reserved some😊
