Custom ordered my 2018 Raptor in Dec 2017....took delivery in mid May 2018....Got exactly what I wanted and didn't pay for options I found useless for me. Paid MSRP (about $68,000) on the nose from Team Ford in Las Vegas (I have nothing to do with them, just a customer) while the same truck here in Kalifornia was going for $15,000 - $20,000 over...Flew in, dealer picked me up and about 45 minutes later road trip home.. Dealer also found me 2.99% which was great, and I slammed so much down my loan was for only $12,000 for 36 months...Love this truck, and yes I don't like the sound of the V6, but damn still gets a grin out me me when I nail it. I just took delivery of a 2019 that was $73.495 Sticker. I payed about $69.000. put $10.000 down and pay a bit over $1.000 a month for 60 months. (also 2.99%)

Gen2 Raptors dont hold their value near as much as Gen1 Raptors did. Here in Illinois you can get 2017 802A Raptors with 30-40K miles for 40-45K depending on milage. So in 72 months you will still pay almost $10K in interest at 2.99% so in reality your truck will cost you $85-86K

The raptor is a limited production vehical, each dealer is only slotted 2 per a year. But if a dealer has a good customer service record, they become 1st in line for any left overs. How do I know this you ask, I've bought 3 of them since 2012. 😁

I was going to coment on down payments starting with the Rebal, along with warranty, and not even needing that warranty on the Rebal, as you don't keep your trucks long enough to use the warranties, ect ect and all that cost...but after reading the comments, it doesn't matter, if it's what you want, and you work for your $$$ then go for it...I don't see how all this adds up to make out on any deal, there's to many details not givin.. but it's still a nice truck, and I'm digging the color. 👍

Ben do you know anything about california mark ups. I only put a 1000 down on a special order so the truck is not going to be down for a while. They were already talking about a 5000 doller mark up. I told them I would drop 10 to 15k but if they gave me a good deal. I at least want MSRP. Just wanted to know if u anything about california mark ups do u think I could get a better deal somewhere else. I stay in the bay area. Northern California to be exact.

For a person that works for the dealership you still don't know how much they pay for it. I'm telling you the owner paid about 40 to 45 for the truck. So they really made a killing on the truck along with the interest kick back. I hope you have a great time with this truck.

@@72chitwood I agree, this isn't about who's right or wrong, #s don't lie, but there's almost no way this adds up, (as in) making out on the deal-- starting with the purchase of the Rebal, keep in mind the wrap cost of the rebal, wheels? I don't recall if he put aftermarket on or not, but he never kept the Rebal long enough to gain the value of the money he put into the whole thing, he eventually ripped the wrap off...that's all part of the money invested..as in the car industry would call it..you will be upside down in payments.. employee pricing is good.. but IV already tried to take a educated calculated guess on all this using Ford's A,Z,X,D plans.. because we don't know the exact #s there's no way of knowing if he made out on the deal or not, (I should mention) it's really no-ones busines, but it's a video about pricing so worth bringing all this up.

So kudos for Ben creating a hype..lol...with that said I agree market adjustment (over MSRP) is boarder line illegal, they just have a fancy way of wording it and getting out of it, there almost always has to be a supplemental sticker next to the MSRP sticker explaing why it's over MSRP, but here's why you should never pay over msrp ..it cost so much for a company to make a alternator, starter, tranny, engine, ect, those are all things that are bidded out to the lowest bidder company to make those parts for the truck..it's a set agreed on price..same with every other part, add that all up, along with labor costs and all that blah blah stuff and that's the price, it's not market adjustment.its price gouging, after all who getting the amount paid over MSRP? The dealer? Then that's price gouging, they paid a purchase price for that truck , it's there's, they own it, if a consumer is willing to pay and believe there market adjustment value then someone will always pay over MSRP..the raptor is not a limited of anything, they can be ordered any day of the week, there's no demand to the point there going to stop making them so order it now ,the only reason to pay over MSRP is to be the kid on the block with the newest toy first..
