Ben, just got a fully loaded 2020 raptor two weeks ago. It’s an amazing truck and I took it off-road and ran it so hard I would have swore the alignment would of been off hitting some massive holes in a washed out dirt road. The truck still tracks beautifully on the road and it has proven to me it’s built extremely well. The Ford raptor can take a beating, no need to worry about a used one with a proper pre purchase inspection.

The alignment holds remarkably well. I have a 2018 with 32k miles. I've towed with it and done several off road trails and worked the articulation. Just got the tires replaced a couple weeks ago and decided to get an alignment done after wards. The tech said it was not very far out of spec at all, just a little nip/tuck.

I just rolled past 30k miles on my 18 and started hearing a grinding noise on acceleration. Thought my transmission was going out. Turned out to be $16 fix. IWE check valve. If you own a raptor you should research this. Very common and if you don't know what it is it will make you sweat. All ford 4x4 trucks have this.

Man....just picked up a nice used raptor...love the truck. I think you're being a bit hard on little things like the tailgate and even the door sill plates...none of these have been any issue on mine. Great truck...fun, fast and most certainly a pleasure. Just like any vehicle..it will wear and things will show wear...just be sure you look for signs of "mudding" when ya buy one...ya may be buying someone's worn out toy

You should upgrade the headlights to Morimoto XB led headlights. Don’t see to many of those on Raptors.

Bought mine used and never an issue. Love my 2018. I get 15 to 22 mpg depending on what I’m doing.

The problem with these and cars like a hellcat or scatpack etc is the higher the mileage, the more likely it's been beat on. Maybe a low mileage iteration would be ok, but I'd be reluctant to consider one if it had more than x miles on it... I wonder if someone will do the 7.3L v-8 in a Raptor.

The Godzilla 7.3L would be an awesome repower for a worn out 6.2L in a Gen.1. Really not interested in the Ecoboost Gen. 2 or 3, I'd rather put the Raptor suspension and body parts on to a 5.0L F150.

What I’ve read is that most trucks 2017-2019 don’t get the issue much, but it’s seen online a lot cause people love to complain abt ford. My 17 has 107k miles and no issues with cam phasers. Only thing I had to do was the door lock got recalled.

Totally disagree about the 19/20 live valve Vs 17/18 "blue" suspension. I drove an 18 quite a bit but bought a 19....the live valve is far more planted on the street over the 18 blue. 18 blue is a lot more floaty and squirly. Curvy roads in sport mode is bliss.
