about some things, Dyno tuning, it's not about getting the 5-10hp more. It's about doing the whole powerband from 2000RPM to 7000RPM right. At the dyno they can add 20HP for example at 4000rpm, while at the top end, it's still the same number you got previously. But how the car feels and drives changes noticably. Remember kids, dyno doesnt nessecary add more hp at the MAX rpm, but they sure do add hp in other places.

Ik it’s a sandwich plate that goes on the back between the oil filter and block but what kit did you have? Also where can I get the nipple things for the back of the engine for the PCV? Oh and I didn’t look to closely but does it matter if the engine is obd1 or obd2? My car is a obd2 car but as far as I know all hondata ecu’s are obd1 so would I just get a step down harness? Cause of my obd2 harness? You know I might just message you on Instagram....

Simplest brake upgrade for that will be dual piston legend GS calipers, T23 accord caliper carriers and minicooper brake discs I ran that on my DA front wheels, it was able to stop so well, especially with at least 205 width tires and no ABS. The minicooper brake discs will be a bit more but they are usually made out of a better form of steel so on my DA they lasted the rest of the car's life. Plus their hubcentrics are proper and 4x100mm. I live in Vermont so salted roads are cancer for cars up here. When I got rid of my DA I knew how to do everything on it and miss that car. It was just so rusted that it would have been about 10 times as much to repair vs getting another car. I ended up going 5th gen prelude after but would gladly get another DA.

Thanks man, I’ve been trying to figure out what brake set up to go with for a “big brake” setup after my k swap soon. Hey Chris great informative vid and well laid out so people can get the whole picture. I was wondering if you've raised your red line to somewhere in the 74-7600rpm range? I noticed u had stock 6800ish? Redline still. I'm thinking u may be missing out on a good chunk of the benefit of going to a vtec head. Its been well proven over the years now that a b20 in good condition and maintained properly will be plenty reliable running them up to just under 8k. There's a huge chunk of power in that last 1000rpm especially with your long gearing which would allow the car to land at a higher rpm in vtec after a shift. I apologize if Maybe u know all this already and just don't care lol or don't want the cost involved to retune it but I was curious cause id be itching for that extra power! Lol keep up the great work bro

I'm just guessing it's probably either your camshaft seal which is one of the most common oil leak problems for a Honda or the VTEC solenoid gasket itself is leaking a quick way to test if it is your head gasket would be a leak down test with the rad cap and valve cover oil cap off if the rad starts to bubble as you pressurize the cylinders one at a time or you start to hear air escaping through the valve cover you know the head gasket is not sealing properly

Like your setup, but I have to disagree on the innovative mounts being junk. I've had both Hasport and innovative, and if you get the solid race mounts in both brands, they're both pretty good. Hasport are better for a dedicated track/race car, but I like innovative for a street car. Reason being Hasports are a harder urethane and they create more vibration throughout the car. Good for a track car but kind of annoying in a daily. But it's all subjective, keep up the good work man, always loved those tegs, I'm currently running a DC5 and love it also.

Why B16 over the B18c (from the type r)?
@ChrisSadowski6 жыл бұрын
Cut de Pie Fails well finding a type r head is hard enough. And I didn’t wanna pay all that money to just have a little better breathing in the head. The b18c can rev high yes but it makes all its power in the block with the high compression. So really going with either head is fine but for my budget the b16 head was there and gives me (close to the same) results

Does it leak? Between the head and block?

No it does not

Edith Romero why would you want a gsr block with a non vtec head?
@louis2482ify7 жыл бұрын
So that engine you got it came VTEC or it wasn't VTEC in any you made it VTEC I'm not familiar with the Honda world
@ChrisSadowski7 жыл бұрын
louis sutler it was not vtec, and I made it vtec by adding the vtec head to it and supporting mods

How muxh would it cost to tune this B20 to redline higher?
@ChrisSadowski7 жыл бұрын
Why would I need to rev it higher? I mean I could probably take it to 8k and I could do that on my computer but I want longevity out of my motor and don’t feel like stretching my rod bolts haha
@2_2_4_34 жыл бұрын
After 100 miles I dump about 3/4 of a cup of crap from my oil catch can but my B20V is fully built with 13 comp .
@ChrisSadowski4 жыл бұрын
Dang that sounds gnarly, The motor in the video is now in my Honda del sol and on 9lbs of boost and I don’t even dump anywhere near that

Sup man I got a ? I got a 00 integra sedan with a b20b gsr head an I'm getting alot of pressure in my valve cover if I buy a catch can an plug the 2 holes in the back of the block would this fix my problem thanks
@ChrisSadowski6 жыл бұрын
Bobby Phillips what do you mean? Are you vented from the back of the block now? The block is where all the pressure comes from mostly so you would want to vent the block to a catch can
@bobbyphillips54596 жыл бұрын
ChrisSadowski as of right now there is no pcv valve an there is only a hose running from the valve cover to the intake
@bobbyphillips54596 жыл бұрын
It's not vented from the back of the block I'm unfamiliar as I did not build this motor
@ChrisSadowski6 жыл бұрын
Bobby Phillips then vent the block. Google search b20vtec catch can setup and you will find forums with part numbers for the plugs you need for the block. Then just vent it to a catch can
@bobbyphillips54596 жыл бұрын
ChrisSadowski I been looking into thoes I was just wondering if that would fix my problem with the pressure in the valve cover before I bought one i appreciate your help
