yo yo, look for a "gyômu sûpâ" or 業務スーパー it's like a mini costco type of thing, aimed at small businesses, but open to everyone. Prices are good and they have some good stuff, that gets featured on tv regularly. Their frozen cheesecake is my recommendation.

Hey Jack, thanks for the amazing videos. I would like to know if Borderlink is ok with its staff having a part time job just to help with the living expenses. Thanks
@Jack_to_Japan
@Jack_to_Japan Жыл бұрын
I can't say for certain. You would really need to ask them about that. It also depends on your visa. You can go to the immigration office and apply for a part-time allocation. However, I would ask borderlink as they are the final say on the matter.

Nice nice this is so amazing to hear. My question is on the employment form.. where they ask how long are you willing to stay or work? Is it ideal to say 1yr. Question 2, is when they ask how much you are going to have reserved after paying flight ticket. Is there a reasonable amount they are looking for.
@Jack_to_Japan
@Jack_to_Japan Жыл бұрын
How long do you want to stay there? I would say that amount of time. How much do you have after your flight? I would tell them that amount.

Holy crap, ¥20k/mo for a full-time job is skirting minimum wage. Probably below minimum if you have any unpaid overtime. (No shade on you, just shocked at what Borderlink can get away with.) Btw if you are earning that little, you can apply at your city hall for a reduction or outright exemption from paying pension.

Wow! That is a terrible salary. So bad its laughable. My Interac salary wasn't that low. I understand that depending on where you are teaching the contract will be different, but I was only contracted 29.5 hours a week at school, yet I still made more than you plus shakaihoken. I've heard horror stories about working for Borderlink. No pay for the month of August, right? All ALT companies are ran by shaisters. Yes, the Japanese higher ups are getting rich at your expense. You're getting paid to be a tourist, not a working class member of society. Anyways, excellent breakdown. :)
