I've been at KZbin over a decade with various channels. It wasn't until I started shuffling tarot cards that I grew an audience and got monetized. I'm pretty consistent. Now I'm putting a lot of energy into my two different redbubble accounts. I appreciate your informative videos. Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback! What's the CPM like for tarot videos? 122K views in the past days on your channel - you are destroying me!

Personally I REALLY appreciate how short, succinct and to the point your videos are, it's a HUGE time saver and allows me to slam the knowledge in so much quicker, and I can definitely say I've spent more time watching your vids because of it overall than I would have if they were say 15 - 20 minutes long each. I must've skipped past a dozen or so longer videos before coming to this channel and it was such a massive breath of fresh air to find someone who cuts right to the chase for a change, it makes me never want to leave! Thanks for sharing so much amazing content - with all the chaff removed!! :)

I never gave it a thought that there would be a (cheap) subtitling service for KZbin out there, thank you. I never made videos with the intent of making money, so I just do them myself. My 2 cents on KZbin videos, and how much money they make: I automatically have a high level of disrespect for channels that: 1) have clickbaity thumbnails and titles. 2) if all their videos take juuust over 10:00 of playtime, because you KNOW that they just do it for the ad revenue, not because they care about you or the content of the video itself. 3) are full of rehashed tips and filler, words especially chosen and repeated that trigger the algorithm in their favor. 4) have way too long intros / outros and are begging LiKeComMEnTsuBSCRIBe every chance they get. You do with your videos whatever you want, of course, but I've always found your videos so refreshing because they are straight to the point and truly filled with helpful knowledge. So thanks a lot, Passive Owl

Excellent video! Great value!.. now you are more motivated than ever to create more videos for us in order to help us! So it's a win win situation!!! However, me personally, I have been watching all of your videos because you were not talking too much and cause you have almost always been to the point! Maybe keep in mind that someone might get tired by a long video with little info... Best regards! 😁

Exactly - win win! :) I agree and I'll try to keep it as relevant as possible. I do find it frustrating when people add so much extra stuff that is unnecessary.

Passive Owl, my name is Paul, I live in Peru, South America, here we speak spanish, so forgive this non-perfect english, I just wanted to tell you that You are the best, it's obvious to me that you are a great human being, even though we haven't seen your face apart from your profile picture, it's easy to recognize your genuine good vibes as a human, if you ever come to Lima - Peru after this pandemic, know that you have a home where to rest and someone that can you give you advice on what to do here, maybe not as great as your POD advices and tips, but hopefully good enough, te mando un abrazo!

Hi Paul! That's probably the nicest message I've ever received. ¡Muchas gracias! Really appreciate it, you've absolutely made my day. I'll bear that in mind about Lima as well. It looks like a beautiful place to visit.

@@PassiveOwl I'm happy that it made you happy my friend. Lima is indeed beautiful, but most probably when you come you'll go to Cusco to see Machu Picchu, it's one of the wonders of the world, you'll feel a great energy there, but anyway you'll made a stop first here in Lima cos is the main city and the main airport, so I can give you a non-virtual hug and take u to eat ceviche, lomo saltado, carapulcra, and other amazing dishes you can only find here. Thnks you again for your content man, u have a friend here, have a great week!

I only recently got monetized. My channel is 'combining fun, futuristic technology with traditional outdoors experiences. Over the past month and a half, my CPM has been about $12.50 CAD

Congratulations on being monetized! I'm terrible at surviving outdoors, but that is definitely a popular niche on both POD and KZbin. Sounds like it's valued by advertisers as well.

Hello Mister Owl, I started my channel somewhat recently with entertainment in mind. It seems that I'm struggling to find a viewer base though. Do you have any tips on how I can attract more viewers? I don't desire to be youtube millionaire or anything but enough to pay for the price of going to airsoft for the day would be nice.
@PassiveOwl4 жыл бұрын
If your tags and thumbnails are on point but you still aren't getting viewers, is there anywhere you can post your videos that would be interested and not considered spam? For example, when I just started out, I posted my first video in a passive income subreddit and did an AMA to add value so it wasn't just me promoting myself. That resulted in my first subscribers.
@kaidenskillhouse58254 жыл бұрын
I’ve never used reddit much in the past but I suppose I could try showing off my content and ask how I can improve it. That’ll give me some attention and give me a good idea on where to go with my content c:

Thank you very much! It could help as it shows what there is demand for, especially with emerging trends, but what people search for on YT isn't necessarily the same as POD. What sites do you use?
