Another wonderful video. This is how I used your website to decide what to buy last month. And I decide to work my way up to the things that contained water therefore needing preservatives. This way I can cut the costs and still learn what ingredients ie butters my skin likes best.
@WholeElise3 жыл бұрын
That's a great approach to have! I can be overwhelming to your skin (and purse!) to introduce a much of new products into your regimen. Once you get more comfortable with preservatives, you can start to stretch out your butters and oils so there should be some savings in the future! Really glad to hear the site is useful 😊

Because of you I'm homeless 😂😉🤣, but my skin and hair look fabulous. I buy whatever the recipe calls for because they work so well. Love all of your recipes and tell my family and friends how awesome they are. I have been into African black soap and would like to know how I can use it in place of betaine, glucoside and water. Can it be done and should I just make it as a liquid and add it in place of all three?
@WholeElise3 жыл бұрын
Haha I can't with you! It's not quite a one for one replacement - while surfactants and soaps are both cleansers it's like using an ingredient, versus using a product as your base. Instead of adapting that recipe, I'd probably follow one that already includes black soap in order to get the best results. Hope that helps 😊

@WholeElise3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jill, absolutely! As a general rule of thumb you can substitute "like for like" so oils with oils and butters with butters. Each ingredient has unique benefits so they will vary but the recipe should still work unless stated otherwise 💚

I came across your channel a few weeks ago, have watched most of your videos and loved them all. I didn't have most products on hand and when I went online to look for the ingredients, I ended up filling up my cart with a whole bunch of ingredients which the different recipes called for but a part of me kept prodding me to not buy and first, rather optimize what I really needed to buy. This video is exactly what I needed at this point, thank you so much !❤️

Well done you for making the right call! Honestly even I tempted to overload on ingredients when I'm thinking of making new products - but it's always better to start simple and slowly build up your stash for when you know that you'll use them! I'm so glad this was helpful 😊
