Make sure to watch until the end for bloopers!!! Haha Also if you go to prison..with money in a bank account..family has to get it for you..via an ATM card ..inmates don't have access to free world accounts. Even if its their own. Also men are allowed to buy extra boxers .. women can not buy extra underwear..in MY experience. I never saw underwear. We could buy sport bras though. And! FEDERAL inmates have jobs that pay $ in prison ..State inmates CAN get work release but those jobs are highly coveted. I made $0 working in prison. None. Ever

Women can’t buy extra underwear?? From what you and Christina have said about the feminine products, I can imagine a lot of underwear got stained. Maybe I missed it in the video, but how many pairs of underwear do you get??

I believe feminine hygiene products should be free. It’s unfair to make a woman have to bleed on her uniform, and have them feel dirty like that. One time in like freshman year I bled through my pad, tampon, underwear and shorts. I felt so disgusting. I cannot IMAGINE how these women must feel.

Delaney Harrison honestly making feminine hygiene products “free” unfortunately wouldn’t really mean anything because we’d still have to pay for it through taxes if that were the case. Sounds like a good idea but when you think about it, having anything free would be impossible.

I just figured out I sent my dad a lot for Federal prison. We sent 100 a week and 300 on all holidays. Sent more if he needed more if he needed shoes or Radio. And he didn’t need paper or stamps he was able to email. He gave everything away when he got out beside his shoes and what he wore. We bought him a new house and everything he needed. He got out in Sept and they called him a few weeks ago said they messed up on paper work and he needed to come back. Thank God we got a lawyer and they worked it out.

Thats most jails. But most of the time people on the outside don't know what is what etc. When I was in county we had a limit of 100 dollars a week but "home package" could do 200 every 2 weeks. It was through the vendors website. Usually 1 big vendor provides all the stuff for all the jails in an area. So I can definitely believe Jeff besos (amazon) wants his hand in that huge money pot.

A man called my phone last night from jail in Atlanta. (prepaid) I accepted the call because the name was the same as a close friend. So I answer, he tells me he found out that he was my "long lost brother"!! 😯 Of course I didn't believe this. So I asked him alot of questions which he immediately had a good answer for. He didn't know any names, he didn't know my name. He wanted $$ though & was asking me to come see him because he wanted to meet his "sister from another mister" 😂😂😂😂 wth? I asked him how he got my # & he said his Mom gave it to him. He had been searching for me for 2 years, etc etc. He was a slick con man. It was creepy. I'm still shook. I immediately called my Mom & Grandma to ask them if I had a brother I didn't know about. They said no of course. It really blew my mind. I can't imagine how many random numbers this man has called and claimed to be their relative. This happened to my grandma and she thought it was one of her grandson's and was about to send this stranger $$.

My best friend is in prison for the first time. I love him so much. But seeing this? He has been playing his moms heart strings. His first 2 months? She gave him 2k, in that 2 months she Cashapped people 3k. That’s 5k. Me and her weren’t in contact when this happened. When she started calling me, I told her to stop. He was buying substances, quite obviously. He ended up getting thousands of dollars in debt because he spent so much money in a short time, they thought he was a big spender and had it like that. This did him a huge injustice, because when she found out he was buying spice with it, she cut him off for a while. This was bad because he spent all that money, they think he has a lot of money, so when he didn’t have money anymore, they truly didn’t believe him. They beat him up pretty bad and he had to change pods. I love him, as an addict in recovery I understand where he was at in that moment. He’s in hell in there (Ohio facility). I have trouble believing some things he tells me now.

Thank You Jessica! You are a gem. I write five women in four different states (have I lost my mind!?) and I have been trying to figure out who I'm going to support and how much really I should be sending them if I got the money. I'm a grad student so I don't have a ton of money, but on the other hand my school is relatively cheap compared to some of the others so I feel a little bit is justifiable. One of them makes more than the others (one dollar an hour), so I won't send her any. Another cannot receive money from me, so I obviously won't be sending her any. I intend to send the other three about $30.00 a month for as long as humanly possible. Wish me luck!

I have never been arrested or anything, but have been watching your channel out of curiosity. Have you thought about talking to those who at risk for going to jail/prison (like through youth or adult programs), or possibly be a mentor to someone in those programs? I think your experience, and no bullshit approach could be really effective for those who are toeing that line of getting into major trouble. It’s just a thought. :) Keep up the amazing work, stay safe, and stay sober. You are worth it.

Oh my gosh!! I'm furious! I am paying 55 cents each to send Ramen to my son because it is more in commissary!! He traded for a pair of flat sneakers and a pair of socks for $30 from an inmate. A parolee gave him a thermal. He's sleeping on a mat on the floor. This is regional! I'll never be able to afford Federal!

ive never been to jail or prison, but sometimes i eat brown rice, black beans, salsa, cheese and tortilla chips. i didn’t think it was gross until i called a friend while i made it. he said it looked like food you would eat in jail. it kinda did, but i mean, it was hella good.

I personally did from 2006 to 2010 that's the longest stretch I have had to do. I was bounced from 6 different facility in the state of Kentucky during that time I was very much taken care of. From day one to the very last day of my stay there I got 100.00 dollars every week so like I weighed 130 pounds and rolled my big ass out due to weighing 350 pounds so yeah I ate my feeling. I also had 56 pen pals through out the US. So doing my time I ate, slept, and did my writing . But to each there own! Always Do You! Jess you really are the best KZbinr that I watch keep up the good work. !!!!!🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

I totally understand this and I am thankful. I had my family during the times that I was incarcerated because even when you were on the phone with Christina, and she said $200 The items she listed she hadn't even said one food item yet. She only listed shoes and hygiene. And basically that's $200. Granite you will not have to buy shoes every week but They even give you a limit. You can't spend hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars every week. There's a limit. Basically if you have no money in jail and prison You'll be on the brink of starving and going to bed hungry is an indescribable feeling.

Yay! How awesome to see Christina and you together in another video (even if it was just for a hot sec). BUT, I love how you got perspectives from both the male and female sides. Interestingly, the money amounts (all being from diff prisons) were pretty similar (though the needs differed besides HYGIENE). I think it’s fucked that feminine hygiene products aren’t supplied to inmates-and in GENERAL to charge so much on products that are pretty cheap in the free world, especially when inmates barely get paid (and MUST RELY on someone from the outside world/hustle) IF they EVEN get paid from their work.
