More of this content is needed. The unrealistic expectations these Ig and tictok folks see spreading is seeing these new nurse up for FAILURE. I love this video!

Thanks for making this video! People see the tik tok and IG girlies and they just know ALL nurses make lavish amounts of money. Im an lpn and I just went back to school for my RN. FL does not pay us enough 🤦🏿♀️

I’ve been considering enrolling into a Nursing program. Been gathering input and doing some research. I have a question. Are Nursing students being forced to take the Covid Vaccine in order to attend Nursing school and work at a Hospital? By forced I mean required. To me its all the same.🤷♀️
@DijahAlize Жыл бұрын
When I was in nursing school, the Covid vaccine was fairly new but we were able to get exemptions because of religious or medical reasons. In all honesty, it’s really the hospitals requiring the vaccines or exemptions because that’s what they require for their staff so if you don’t do either you won’t be allowed into clinicals.

New grads in Texas at huge level 1 trauma center hospitals are getting offered $28/hour base pay right now in October 2023 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

That’s super low in this economy 😩 it may all depend on specialty as well though.

Do you mind sharing where in FL you are now? I’ve been watching videos and reading online that FL had really low pay but it sounds like your area pays pretty well. Thanks for the transparency!! I’ve been trying to find some pay transparency for my city before I decide to pursue a nursing degree but it’s been hard to find.

Central Florida has better pay and better cost of living in Florida. South Florida is very expensive with average pay.

Thank you for this dense video without the fluff , these are all good points. Do you have any jobs that would look better for a new grad nurse that are entry level and would act as experience? (Patient transporter, escort, reception?) Thank you.
@DijahAlize8 ай бұрын
Facilities only count nursing jobs as experience. I’ve only seen being an lpn or cna count as experience for an RN job, but you will still be classified as a new grad since you’ve never worked as an RN.

Thank you for your transparency I live in South Florida and I’m graduating from nursing school May 2024. I honestly thought I would have to leave the state in order to earn a decent new grad salary because south Florida pay is disrespectful especially for the cost of living. Can I email you?I would like to know the hospital systems that are offering the pay incentives that you mentioned in your video because I’m definitely moving after graduation.
