It shouldn’t be the case bra, only 1.8million people on the 2nd least populated country with one of the highest concentration of natural minerals and resources, fauna and flora, wildlife and tourism YET after nearly 30 yrs of independence we have seen little or no rise in GDP, reduction in crime against women and children, Death on the roads and substance abuse linked to crime and murder. We are further apart than when we was under apartheid rule. YET nobody speaks up about this. We need to stand up and address these issues, the new generation need to take a stand...

I think you will like Swakopmund and maybe going to Tsumeb. Two vastly different places
@Khp19835 жыл бұрын
Vastly different, why... in what way. Both strong German heritage... as with Whk and the South. No ?
@Zeevisual5 жыл бұрын
@@Khp1983 as in lifestyle and vegetation. Swakopmund is on the coast, beach, sun, cold, sunny, dunes. And tsumeb has a lot more street vendors selling fresh fruits, has rain, tall, old trees. It's a lot different than the Swakopmund lifestyle. Both are architecturally similar and very art influenced but in different ways.
@Khp19835 жыл бұрын
@camille eatsCookiez I see, but swakop,Walvis and Luderitz are more or less carbon copies of each other in every sense. Architecturally the same as the Germans have build these towns ground up, Die Ruiter in Whk central right down to the south. Artistically our herstige is the Khoi SAN, we can only claim the rock paintings at tsumkwe as historic art, quintessentially Namibian. Anything modern as in the last 20 years has been European or American inspired. So in effect nowhere inNamibia is different, street vendors and trees everywhere. It’s all the same, likewise with the mindsets, all the same, politics all the same, education and culture all the same, everywhere. We’ve not made any advances really. And I love every inch of Namibia trust me...
@Khp19835 жыл бұрын
@camille eatsCookiez What you’re saying sounds intellectually sound, but I think flawed fundamentally...
@Zeevisual5 жыл бұрын
I've been to Tsumeb I've lived in swakop. They are not the same. I know people from luderitz and Swakopmund and they are not the same. Heck, even people from Windhoek are very different compared to people from Swakopmund. The landscape is different. Drive from one end of Namibia to the other and really take note of the change in scenery. Travel a bit more or read a bit, observe a bit. You'll hopefully notice the difference. The way people live. Act. Party. Talk. The slang changes from region to region. These are things I've noticed and experienced. I think you need to observe more
