Hi Sorry , we don't have any about the statistics on dentists earnings. In general the salaries of dentists will vary if they are NHS / Private dentists. You can check the job search websites to have a look on the potential earnings on dentists.

You need to be GDC registered for working as a hygienist / therapist. I think Dental hygiene therapy is a 3 year degree program in UK. Please check the university websites for more info. Sorry I am afraid it is not possible to get DCP registration based on BSc degree.

You would need to do Plaque scores , bleeding scores , BPE , 6ppc including mobility and furcation involvement. Also note down any bleeding on probing. Apart from these take xrays wherever indicated

Depends on the practice. Some clinics offer hourly rate some offer % wise or depending on UDA. Which would be more rewarding - depends on the flow of patients. If your diary is full then you may earn more on % basis , but if there are not many patients then hourly rate would be more beneficial.

Hi Shafkat Sorry, I am not sure what you meant to ask. I assume you are asking for how many hours does a hygienist work in a day. This really depends in the practice requirements and the hygienist wish. Self employed DH choose their own convenient working hours. Hope we have answered your question. DCP assessment process checks if you are capable for getting registered as a DCP. Usually an overseas dentist would be able to show this by providing evidence of BDS syllabus and relevant work experience. If needed you can do some CPD courses as well

It depends on the practice contract. As every practice has a different cost for private treatments. Therefore difficult to say a average income of a private dentist. However , NHS dentist gets paid on the basis on UDA's.

In UK dentistry is performed by different clinicians to divide the work depending upon the scope of practice . A Dentist : Can perform all the tasks from basic to complex procedures A hygienist : mainly deals with simple hyg services and perio treatments. A therapist : does most of the treatments for children and also fillings for adults. Here in the US Dental assistants in some states can place dental fillings , carry out above the gum scaling on kids under the age of 12 and also are Dental Anesthesia Assistant . for these dental assistants / nurses to earn less than $ 23 a hour is a slap in the face.
