How did you clean very grimey frames with soot and other mess on it without spending minutes on a frame when you were traditional? Did you use a any specific tools or chemicals to speed things up?

Hi mate Depending on the context of your question and how severe you’re talking, it can vary. To answer your question though I used to make sure my applicator was absolutely soaked, carry an empty bottle of fairy which I’ve then filled up with soapy water (incase I need more water up the ladder), and bring at least 3/4 cloths onto the job. Scrub the frames with your applicator too, not just the glass, then wipe the frames first with your abundance of cloths before squeegeeing the glass. That was the most efficient way I found, ultimately how quick you get it done depends on experience and how fast you can move.

Hi mate - resin is what you fill your DI vessel up with the purify the water, it needs changing regularly to ensure the water stays pure. Impure water leaves streaks with a waterfed Pole system.

No you don’t use the customers water for window cleaning, but if you had a pressure washer and were pressure washing that’s not something people would mind in my experience. Starting out in the windows your best bet is to either get a fully purified water system for delivering pure water or using traditional hand tools, whichever your budget accommodates.

What is your average price per house?

Vast majority of houses fall somewhere between £15-20 . I also do houses up to £40, but they’re just one or two here and there.

Do you accept cash and card and which payment do customer take with a door to door service?

Hi mate - I take cash, but rarely - loved it at the start but as you get busier (now that lockdown has ended and nobody’s at home all day anymore) you’ll find it more and more of a pain in the a*s as time goes on. Personally (I’ll make a video soon about this) - I keep almost everyone on GoCardless. It’s a manual direct debit system which integrates with Squeegee and other planner apps to allow you to just request payment from their bank each visit. 👍
