My hardest thing is transport to sights as always seems there arent except in big cities so inevitwbly end up booking a trip which is never as good as going yourself and an unrushed time. Any ideas please. I dont use a dtiving licence abroad..

The only time I’ve driven abroad is in Iceland or other really remote places! Learning to navigate public transportation is super important especially in Europe when it’s really accessible. Uber is also readily available in Europe so if you are going somewhere that even trains don’t go to, Uber is usually available. Or find someone at your hostel who wants to go with to split the price!!

im confused how you paid so little for accomodation, ive checked hostelworld and the minimum in most of these cities is like$60 a night

We stayed with friends a couple nights, but maybe it’s partly because we went late spring/early summer so it wasn’t quite prime travel season. But we only reserved hostel stays AT MOST a few days in advance so the prices may have been reduced because of that

Did you stay in hotels or hostels ? And did you eat out for every meal ?

We definitely stayed in hostels the whole time or whatever was the cheapest option in the city center. Usually the hostels had breakfast included for us, we bought sandwich materials from the grocery store for lunch to eat on the go, and we’d eat dinner out!
