Great video! It helps a lot, thanks =D Tip: As you like to travel a lot, come to Brazil. It’s a huge country, but for you from the US, it’s cheaper, and there are tons of beautiful places to visit.

Thanks a lot for the informative video. I've never considered backpacking in Europe per se, but I enjoyed your video nevertheless. It made me consider doing it honestly

The Eurail seemed expensive just 10 p cent reduction for over 60.. my issue is out of season wherever have been is yes less crowded but transport reduced day sightseeing trips reduced or not running weather often really dismal so boats often cancelled or hurricane season etc. It is a struggle without a car or moped tbh. Any suggestions please! Anything welcome. Do you shower at ststions if overnight travel please just wondering ❤

If you individually buy train tickets it adds up really fast! Buying a eurail ticket is definitely much cheaper in the long run especially when trains are your main mode of transportation. You can also use your eurail ticket on certain buses and trams which is super helpful!! We tried to travel only overnight or early in the morning or late at night so we didn’t take away from adventuring during the day. And we were able to get everywhere we wanted to either on a train or with a couple Ubers! Also we mostly just didn’t shower those nights we were on overnight trains - not a big deal to skip a night since we were never overly sweaty!

did you have to pay extra to take the backpack as hand luggage or did it meet the requirements so that it was included in the ticket price? I am going on the budget airlines so just want to make sure I take the right kind of bag:)

On regular airlines any 40L backpack will count as carry on luggage! I’ve never had to pay extra for it, but I would always double check any budget airline requirements since they’re all different and can be pretty strict!

On all budget airlines you need to pay extra to bring anything larger than a handbag with you.

@Thatclimbingirl yes you should always check what the airline’s requirements are!! If you’re backpacking europe though I would recommend taking trains 99% of the time because it’s so much cheaper and easier!! I only flew to Iceland and Greece and my backpack was fine on both of those!
