It is a repurposed German Mauser don’t know the actually name but I have one myself basically they cut the barrel down and change ammo types on it to make it a scout .308
@briancarter1651Ай бұрын
It’s an FR8, a rechambered version of the Mauser 98 that was designed and built in Spain (FR stands for fusil reformado, or converted rifle in Spanish). The Spanish Army bought their rifles from Mauser for decades, and in the 1950’s rechambered and cut down a lot of their preexisting stock to make them fit with standardized NATO ammunition loads, even though Spain didn’t join NATO until 1982. There’s an earlier version, the FR7, that’s based on the Mauser 93 frame. The flash hider on the muzzle also serves as a rifle grenade launcher for 22mm grenades (in Europe, they measure them from their thinnest point, not their widest, like they do in the U.S., which I know is weird). In spite of the wood furniture, they’re almost too powerful for their own good; FR8’s fire a huge round for such a small frame, so there’s a lot of kick and pretty massive muzzle blast, even with the flash hider/grenade adapter
