Are you planning your Las Vegas travel budget and wondering how much it costs to stay at the new Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas? I just stayed at Virgin Las Vegas and did all of the best stuff and in this video I will share all of my expenses so you know what to plan for. Below are all of the things I did:

The Wall Street Journal recently had a story that explains much of the present day Las Vegas experience. After (?) Covid, people are crowding in and appear to be relatively insensitive to price: "Hotel occupancy at Caesars’ Las Vegas properties reached 97% at higher room rates, resulting in the highest quarterly hotel-room revenues in the company’s history, the company said." Similar at MGM properties. If your money is tight, this is NOT a good time to visit Las Vegas.

agreed. Been spending lots of time on the strip and on Freemont street and hotels have been expensive. Normally I can get a late checkout from just about any hotel without a charge. I've been continually charged for late checkouts lately

Your Vegas videos helped us plan yet another epic Vegas trip for my hubby and me. We just went to Virgin Hotel on Sunday! We got on the guest list for the pool party, due to your review of their pool, had to check it out! We loved the Upside Down Tea Party at The Shag Room! The drinks were delicious, and live music was top notch. We did brunch at Kassi's Beach House. The Green Eggs, and the Kassi's Double Burger were really good. They have endless mimosas, and drinks in blenders, definitely get you lit there 😁

That chef Tod English has just opened his own Las Vegas Hotel called The English Hotel. You might want to check it out as it is a small boutique style with gourmet food. Apparently the showers show through to the bedroom, lol. A European touch?

It's Vegas, the hotel is part owned by Hilton, and the amenities within the space that's offered is basically a reseort all rolled up. Ofcourse it's not going to be inexpensive just to stay AND HAVE FUN.

Love your videos and commitment James. Can you do a a video on tipping please? I’ve picked up some tips (pun intended) from your videos but ultimately tipping culture is very alien to me as a British person. And I couldn’t find a video anywhere about it. It would be great if you could do one about how much to tip everyone from bell boys, taxi Uber vs regular, cleaners, fast food to high end and even club host and table hosts/waitresses when having bottle service Thanks a lot

Todd English Olives was at The Bellagio for years. It was replaced by Wolfgang Puck's Spago a few years ago.

So excited to rewatch content while planning my September trip with a large group. Any recommendations on best restaurants for 10-15 people?

My group and I had a great meal at Kumi in Mandalay Bay. You can pre-book a private or semi-private room and a set prix fix menu which includes a wide assortment of sushi, meats, fowl etc. That will save you an hour. All of the info is available on the Kumi website. At One Steakhouse, your group can pre-order an 18-pound Tomahawk Steak (serves 10 - 12) for $1400. I haven't had that and don't know anyone who has, but that's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The only issue is that I split my time between multiple ecosystems (MGM, Caesar's, Virgin/Hilton, etc. still, I think I almost reached MGM Gold on this trip alone.

Glad you had a good time at Virgin and that there were some other people there. We stayed there once and really liked it, partially because we won some money there. Yet, for whatever reason, it has not received very good word-of-mouth. Perhaps nobody else ever wins there; I just don't get it.

I think it's because they are charging strip prices while not being on the strip also they added resort fees after bragging that they didn't have them. I think that put a sour taste in peoples mouth

I like SouthPoint off strip 7$ mai tais nice pool nice rooms.. no great food but i drive to non casino restaurants. M casino for a jump over for fun but 50$ pool drinks is just rude I'm so over the strip.

For a hotel that was proud to announce no resort fees when they opened, they sure are adding fees on now: resort fee, service charge at one restaurant, a mystery fee at another restaurant. Not good.

It depends on how I'm feeling, the level of service, and the price of the meal. Generally, On my super expensive/lavish meals, I do not tip on top of tax - I tip on the subtotal.
