It’s just chilling still being able to see this happen the man is one of his own. I wish he never left the Cavs and stayed his entire career there because he’s just that good. He was so cool back as young kid in the league, even cooler when he abused the hearts of us Cavs fans in 2010, and still just as cool with such a following. When he retires it will either be because he's done with it emotionally/mentally or his luck will run out and he'll get a catastrophic injury. He isn't going to decline slowly until he's not good enough anymore. He's currently matching a career high average 8.6 rpg, shootinh a career high 43.1% from 3P and has the second highest average of his career 9.2 apg. So he's clearly not anywhere near incapable of being effective. It would take a minimum 5 more seasons before he declined enough to not really be playable anymore. From an average of 23 ppg/9 apg/9 rpg on shooting 43% 3P/ 56% 2P/ 76% FT there's a LONG way downwards to decline to the point where you're not good enough any more. If he tried to last as long as possible like KG or Moses Malone he could easily play 5 more seasons before he drops down to like 3 ppg / 2 rpg / 2 apg like those guys did

Can we stop about this whole triple double thing as a major accomplishment league wide. With the spacing of the league the way it is and the emphasis on 3 pt shooting, very athletic players (like LeBron, Russ) or European players (Jokic, Giannis, Luka) are making the triple double a very irrelevant accomplishment. The assist credit is now closer to a hockey assist where you just have to be the last player to pass to the scoring play as opposed to leading directly to the scoring play, like it used to be. LeBron is playing very good and not taking away from it, but the league is making it really easy to keep playing later in your career, same as in the NFL and QBs.
