Yes, and these deals can be quite large. However, he way overestimated merch sales and donations. So, it may even out. Though probably not. But his estimates of their take home pay is way off. Unless they have the dumbest accountant in the world, there's no way they pay that much in taxes. Almost all their expenses relate to their business; so, they must write off tons. Plus, they recently indicated they moved their official residence to Texas, and it has no state taxes. And that suggests they have a good accountant. That good accountant would have them place their profits in various tax shelters. So, no state, very little federal. Probably their largest payout is to FICA.
