One more reminder that you've just gotta try all the options for yourself. So wish I could drop by your shop! Darned Atlantic...

Hola Matt. Como solucionar la tierra fisica del microfono de violin?? Al no tener microafinadores ??

I would have hoped that this "you can put a good pickup on any old body" thing died with guitars. It would be interesting to try those pickups on a hollow violin like the Bridge - but probably quite hard to do :)

There are a lot of things that are pretty well known in the guitar world that simply have not made their way across into the bowed string world. It turns out that we still don't really learn very much from each other.

I thought I heard extra pickup noises or possibly feedback on Barbera

I'm wondering and I'm just wondering if it's possible for you to install different pickups on the same violin to hear the difference? And is it possible to replace the pickup on my violin by myself?
@ElectricViolinShop2 жыл бұрын
It's possible to change out a pickup on any instrument. If they can put one on, you can take one off. Whether or not you could do it yourself depends a bit on the design of the particular instrument and how good you are at woodworking and electronics repair. Some take more skill and experience than others.

Am I crazy or do the Jordans sound better than the rest?

They feel really nice, too.

starfish sound WAYYYYY better (in terms of getting an acoustic sound out of an electric instrument) than barbera the 3d printed violins sounded more natural than any of the barbera violins barbera across the board has that fuzzy phaser sound, the starfish has it significantly reduced (more prominent in the low notes)

Surprised at how much I liked that American Flag Stratton. Not the right axe for me, but a great sound!
@ElectricViolinShop2 жыл бұрын
It IS a Stratton. He's pretty good at this.

I would appreciate some information on just how strings influence electric violin tone.
@ElectricViolinShop2 жыл бұрын
It's pretty much the same as with acoustic violins, honestly.

As for me, Barbera sounds more artificial, like plastic sound.. Starfish is definitely better

Um, why not show stringamp in there too? I would like a comparison I’m with stringamp.
@ElectricViolinShop2 жыл бұрын
Because we don't have a dozen violins with StringAmp pickups on them.
@vita-girl43452 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricViolinShop still even one or two would be enough. I’m considering a new Jordan with stringamp and the samples on stringamps site are less than compelling. I want to compare to the others since it’s weighing my decision.
