Good job on your explanation of the power usage of the fridge.

Did you enjoy the dual fridge/freezer capabilities of this fridge? I'm wondering if I need dual since most milks turn to clumps in the freezer and some other problems with frozen food And is that a electric scooter or electric bike? I'm thinking of getting something small to keep in my Prius. Just found your content today and I look forward to watching through your vids. Trying to get my Prius v ready for a trip down to Mexico. Appreciate your stuff, Thanks!

My fridge only does one temperature zone so I keep it at refrigeration. I had some difficulties with frozen items too. It’s an electric bike called Mac wheel 15 I think it’s a really small bike. Best of luck with your preparation &travel! happy to help

Hi this was super helpful - do you have a review after having used it for a while? Anything you would do differently? Thanks!

thank you, glad to help. do you mean another review of the fridge or the battery? I ended up getting a bigger fridge after learning they all use nearly the same amt of power--its been a great fridge so far. For the battery, I had some troubles getting enough charge from my solar to meet the fridge's demands so i'm adding a DC to DC charger as supplementary charger to help out the solar. That's the only change I'd make. Will definitely make an update video in a month or 2 to show the improved system

@@soilliam Ok, looking forward to an update! Yee I meant the fridge itself, I think I am going to go for this one because I want to keep my front seat but the bigger one looks suuuuuper nice. Im thinking of getting a power station to use at night or just unplug the fridge... we shall see.

@@momovomo gotcha good luck 👍 I think power station is a good call. Nice to be able to charge it with the car without any extra set up

Could you do a video of your battery/charge controller/ solar setup…I think it’s cool that the 50Ah battery is more than sufficient for your needs…I will consider the same for my rig

Yes I will for sure

Rn I have 100 watts and it’s not enough in the winter months to keep fridge running indefinitely. 200 would definitely do it but 100 watts plus a dc to dc charger sounds like the ideal setup. Thanks for checking it out btw

100w solar panel + 12v 18ah battery can run a small 12v fridge..? Please tell me.
@beowulf916Ай бұрын
Depends on the fridge. Mine definitely would not last on just that, mine takes in about 1000 watts per 12 hours.
@soilliamАй бұрын
Agreed, 18ah is a pretty small battery too

I need it some information. Prius? ✔️ AJ30 refrigerator? ✔️ So how big of a battery? 50AH ✔️ Now I'm hungry and feel like going for a walk.

An empty fridge uses substantially less power than a full fridge. Creating ice uses even more power.

yes cooling things down takes more energy than not cooling things down, but once its to temp a full fridge allows for less cold air to escape and therefore less cold air for the fridge to cool down again once its closed
