I love your transparency in this video! You just popped up on my feed with a very touchy subject. You are correct that many people in this industry don’t talk about the finance part. It appears that we are all charging separate prices. That are drastically different. What amazed me about your strategy in pricing is that, with your skills and equipment you could easily be charging $2500 + each project. But you don’t allow pride to get in the way. Even through humble prices, your business is exalted. Very biblical concept. I’m going to switch my strategy up. You should charge more. Im a filmmaker and I do similar numbers but with 3-4 clients a month. Granted we are in a completely different realm of film. You more video work me more narrative, one common thing is clients are clients. You are only getting paid for the technical aspect but we all know there's a customer service aspect to the job that is really difficult. You having to deal with customer service for that many clients a month is crazy. You definitely deserve to get paid more than me. Charging more is easy when you define the charge and show the value. And increasing cost can be done offering some additional service that you know they would want for free but letting them know it's a trial then when they become accustomed to it they will pay. Amazon, Netflix all the biggest companies do it. You gonna burn out with that many clients a month. Good luck fam. Great work tho

@@AdioAsh I appreciate the feedback but where I am I know my prices are fair. I charge for the work I do and can make anywhere from $350-$3,000 depending on the job. And I know it’s because of how I charge that I’m able to not just stay afloat but have money to spend on myself and family and investments. At the end of the day it’s about what works for your business and that’s it. Glad to hear you’re doing well and hope it keeps going up for you 👍🏾

Thanks for sharing! Definitely appreciate the transparency, how did you get into real estate filmmaking?

@@iambrandonscales I actually started as a photographer. Just taking pics of anything. Then fell in love with fitness style of shooting so I did that for a year. An agent seen my fitness edits and asked if I could do that style for real estate and the rest is history

I remember about 15 years ago making £10,000 in August, about $13,200 in USD, but then I knew I'd get virtually zero in Jan, March and April as the wedding season tends to die then.
