i never get to hang out with other film makers to ask them what they do and how they do it. you my friend are an excellent mentor. you always answer the real world questions about this business, which not the best lens of the day. An you answer questions that I cant even think of. but are problems I face every time I do a gig. thank you so much.

You can make extra money for non disclosure agreement. Sometimes some clients request no usage of their footage. So I just charge for that.

Big fan of your videos, it's really helping me understand the business part of this industry. Another thing that I love is that you're a believer. One thing I had to do was change the wording from deposits to retainers because deposits in certain states can still be refunded if you're sued but retainers hold a deeper meaning and verbiage

Availability-this is why I preach having a NICHE. As a real estate photographer/videographer I’m able to use a platform such as Ayreo. I have a booking site, delivery and pay site. Takes the headache out of CRM and hours available. Then outsourcing saves me a ton of time because there are editors who specialize in my niche. Highly advise everyone out there having a NICHE is the only way 💪🏻

How do you adresss a policy for rain ?
@Semesem_Ай бұрын
Most of my shoots are done indoors but if it every comes down to a rainy day situation my clients can request a rescheduling with no additional cost. I don’t make them pay extra for something they can’t control

I just booked a gig recently where the client didn’t mention until after we negotiated price that I’d need to obtain a COI for the venue. In that scenario would you take it as a lesson or bill the client for the cost of the COI?
@Semesem_Ай бұрын
@@fromdonwithlove for me personally it would depend on my relationship with that client. If they were newer I would most likely just pay out of pocket but make sure they knew after that.
@Semesem_Ай бұрын
@@fromdonwithlove but my insurance coverages aren’t pricey at all so I wouldn’t mind paying anyway
@fromdonwithloveАй бұрын
@@Semesem_ thanks. It was a newer client that might send me a lot of work and I paid for it this time. The coverage I landed on wasn’t that expensive.
@ballcapcameramanАй бұрын
I would add it to the overall cost (unless it doesn't cost you anything) since they asked for it after the negotiated price and it's not normal.
