Hell ya Nicholas! hey man its hard your first year but its worth it. if you don't have your own authority Make sure you get that as soon as possible. Chicago is a good area/ lots of freight. And most of all be SAFE! it is dangerous and nothing on your trailer is worth more than you. If im running late, I call and communicate that to the receivers and or broker ahead of time. Good communication solves 99% of problems. Good Luck again 🥳

I love this video but I mean this in the nicest way possible… I think you should take an excel class from google or even a university level course. I have a masters in data analytics and I think that if you do it would help you tremendously. Especially if you can take what you learn and apply it to your excel sheets so that they’re better. I’m looking into getting into hotshot trucking as a side hustle to be able to afford myself a nicer truck so thank you for making content and teaching me!!!

Ya I mean I have thought about it. when I took my Excel Class in school I didn't really have a practical application for it until now. Take a refresher would benefit me a lot because know If a function would be good for me or not. so I can take what I need and leave the rest. Continuing education is never a bad move. Thanks for the tip!

Hey Marco I appreciate that. Ya I think the numbers are the most important thing. Also it help the newer people in the industry see what normal rates look like so they don't get taken advantage of. Transparency is how we as truckers stick together and hold steady on what we will take stuff for. But I don't really think in the end there will be strong unity because we are all each others competition at the end of the day. But I hope it will help some at least.

I have a Link in the description to call. but before you spend any money I will say get your 1.CDL first before anything 2. Your own Operating authority paper work done 3. Then truck and trailer 4. Then insurance. The reason is because the CDL and Operating authority aren't monthly costs, the truck, trailer and insurance are. The order in which you do things when your first getting started are very important in your success and I do wish you success. hope that helped a little.

No good question! So at the end of the day I pay .60 cents a mile for my truck and trailer to be paid off at 200,000 Miles. I would say that more aggressive than the average person out here. Another thing I account for is $400 a week in hotels (that I never stay in)... I may do 1 a week other wise its truck stops and was-mart parking lots. my MPG is about . O and I one thing I account for is my 3% factoring fee that I rally hear people factor in to their cost per mile. 3% on 3$ a Mile is 9 cents a Mile. which is my 4th biggest cost behind my truck&trailer, fuel and insurance. Insure there is a couple hundred extra dollars of profit in there but I like to keep things on the safe side because knowing me ill go out and buy a corvette or something stupid if I think im making more than I am lol

@@pablopicasso4091 Dear Crab in a Bucket, if you want to under cut the next guy make sure you are under $1.75 per mile. Never negotiate a profitable run. You will get more work than you can shake a stick at. #VolumeOverProfit is key. Run more miles for less and you will be more successful than the next crab. The brokers are now accustom to cheap freight and big profit margins. Many crabs to choose from. Stand out and keep charging less and less. Some one has to make the broker not so broke. If you can comprehend crabs in a bucket... you are literally asking me how to beat the other crabs. #TooManyCrabsAndOnlyOneBucket Welcome to the party.

@@pablopicasso4091 You see it very well, the dream is over. Can't get 2 dollars AND you are living in the back seat of a pickup truck. KZbin got too many people sacrificing too much without forethought. And the broker is winning. Non-cdl is driving the market into the ground. Too many desperate folks looking for quick win. Almost 30 cdl and very low insurance and I own my truck and can buy another before I started. This is not the case for many. This is not for tight budgets and immature hearts. Many folks need to let their cdl mature and/or get a cdl. Y'all are working for less than company pay. In this environment you have to stay close to home and if you can't go company and let them pay for the cdl.

So I’ll post my April numbers at the end of this month. I might wait till the 8th of may to post too just to get a full 30-31 days in there. There are many problems in the trucking industry but we all have the same problems and play by the same rules. Insurance is a scam so they can pay for their Super Bowl commercials and all their other ads. They pick the new truckers in the industry to pay that bill. IDK may they get the government to pay for the ads lol I think its the newly truckers.
@SpecialAgentNoble77
@SpecialAgentNoble77 10 ай бұрын
@@Babylionhotshot The problem is youtubers selling dreams. I ran into so many people that should not have been taking loads. I have a CDL for almost 30 years. My insurance for the year was 4K. And I still thought that was high. I would never pay what you guys pay. Many of you need to be company drivers. I would not take a load under 3 long haul and 4 plus regional depending on weight height and location. I was selective. I planned to head home no matter what profitable every time I took a load or I didn't leave the house. I was never out more than 3 and a half days. Y'all go out anywhere with no way home... taking cheap load to get to the next cheap load out of desperation. Noncdl got the freight spread thin. One man starving the next. I have a strategy but I also home school my kids. So I had to take a break from the madness. I'm in a premium location where I can leave the house with 5 dollar plus on average regional and be home next day. It doesn't make sense to me when I see y'all running for free. If you say no, the next guy will say yes. Its crabs in a bucket. Because of this once I leave my location I can't get anything back but extremely cheap freight. Most guys are going to fail at 2 dollars a mile. There's no way. I own my truck. My expenses are low. The next dreamer won't factor in these things. THE ONLY THING THEY SEE IS YOUR GROSS. They can't do business math to save their life. Why plant the seed?
