Do you have any tips on how to get your hands on cheaper games? I'm in the UK and 90% of ps2/ps3/360 games don't sell for more than £2.50/$3.25 ish if at all. Recently bought and listed 140 games in a week.

Removing say rental store labels from the top of the game disc can be tricky but it can be done if you are careful. generally, I just leave them on myself (At least the ones that cover the entire top of a disc, smaller stickers I try to remove). Goo Be Gone is a good product to help remove stickers and sticker residue. Using Rubbing Alcohol Isopropyl 70% works wonders to remove sharpie on game discs and is also great on Cart based games as well as cleaning cart contact points using a Cotton swap.

I would say this works in General, you buy low and sell higher. I recently picked up a few hundred movies on various formats DVD / HDDVD, Blueray, Laserdisc, etc. I am looking to pick up an ultrasonic cleaner in order to help clean Vinyl Records and Laserdisc movies before shipping.

I would say there is no difference other than a buyer purchasing more then one item and looking through your store. I don't think it would affect your search rankings at all though.

I’m wanting to get into selling games on eBay as well and just got my first lot. What size bubble mailers do you use? Also, when someone purchases your game, even though you pay for your postage directly through Canada post, do you still print off a label through eBay? Also what is a good way for a new seller to gain reputation as a more trustworthy distributor?

I just write the address on the mailer then go to the post office and send it letter mail. If you use shippo the letter mail option is not available. It’s regular, expedited, express, and one other option that escapes my memory right now.

I use size 0 bubble mailers, I will normally put the game disc into a paper sleeve in between the manuals when available in order to ensure the game doesn't come loose during shipping and get scratched up. every 1/4 I get a code from eBay for $70 off the eBay store that I use to buy bubble mailers and when I need more I will generally buy from a local supplier in bulk 250+ units. For more valuable games I will wrap the game case/game disc in a layer of bubble wrap, foam pad, or between two sheets of scrap cardboard to give a little extra protection.

I use 7x9 bubble mailers. I don't print any labels through ebay for the lettermail orders. Also it takes time but the more you buy and sell well on ebay, the more feedback you will get!

@@common_lad I got a used Zebra thermal printer from my courier Refurbished including a box of 4000 thermal labels for under $400 inc shipping from Ontario. so i use it in combination of Wordpad to print Labels and put the stamp onto the label when I shit it out. Plus the label also askes them to like share and subscribe :D any way I can pimp out my social media I will.

With letter mail there’s no tracking, how much do you end up refunding or how do you deal with item not received cases? I had one case opened because after almost a month due to holiday volumes and covid the buyer still hasn’t gotten the package. Then when deadline came up to either refund or end up with a possible hit to my eBay store the buyer was honest and told me they got it that day. So I avoided a refund but I just wonder your experience with this?

Since I went from tracked only shipping to offering "Free shipping" with the option to pay $15.00 CAD for tracked shipping anywhere in Canada my sales have gone up. I get approx 1 in every 15 orders the buyer says the item either did not come or the item got damaged in shipping. it sucks, even more so when you put a lot of time and effort into testing, Resurfacing, and packing orders, but it's a fact of eBay. I just block those people from making further orders. Higher priced items I will personally pay the additional costs to have the tracking or insurance to cover my bases and when I ship items out with tracking when the buyer paid for "Free shipping (Lettermail)" I will then report them to eBay and say no this item was delivered and here is the tracking to prove it. I use a cross Border shipper that allows me to ship items to the USA with USPS and or UPS Mail innovations for significantly less than say Canada Post with Tracking and insurance. I use Asendia Post when shipping internationally. as can be seen by my eBay Feedback and the common lads eBay store feedback respectively letter mail works and it will increase sales, You just have to personally judge the Risk VS rewards for yourself. Reviewing the buyer's feedback and looking for Negative feedback disguised as positive feedback as well as the buyer's feedback left for others can save you a lot of drama/stress. Would love to do a live stream with fellow eBay sellers.

But I was offering calculated expedited shipping most of 2020. In the three last months I started letter mail for items like DVD, CD, and games that fit the correct dimensions I even went and purchased the plastic board with the slots to make sure my mailers fit. Letter mail definitely helped me make more sales. Thanks for the ideas

My experience with lettermail had been fairly positive in terms of dealing with INR cases. I would say I have this problem with maybe 1-2 out of every hundred orders and as much as it sucks that they don't offer a cheap tracking service. It is the only way to run this business and sell items so cheap.

Interesting. I definitely don't deal with that many INR cases. That really sucks. Tracking definitely makes sense for higher priced items and I would recommend it to any seller even with expensive video games that could fit in the slot to pay a bit more for tracking. It is a risk vs return play for sure.

I was told by Canada Post that you can only use lettermail for paper and everything else has to go small packet regardless if less than 2mm.

I have never got a consistent answer from a clerk at a Canada Post outlet as most of the time they are the staff of the store and not Canada Post employees and thus do not know all the details. for the best answer to this, I would suggest reading the Canada post website, but I will tell you from personal experience it's not an issue for me personally as long as it is within the size limits of letter mail and you put the correct postage amount. It is also Illegal for Canada Post to open mail in transit. short of going through a Border or being shipped internationally.

@@prairieloon3323 when shipping internationally (outside of Canada) you will need to fill out a declaration form that you can pick up in bulk from any Canada Post outlet. you fill out this form and attach it to the package, if you would rather you can just include a printed copy of the eBay invoice for the buyer so that Customs charges the correct amount. failure to include a declaration form/documents can cause your package to be shipped back to you at your expense and an angry buyer for not getting the order in a decent amount of time.

It's best from personal experience to put these documents into a clear plastic bag/document holder and write Customs documents or invoices on it in order for them to hopefully not open the package.

I can tell you that I have shipped video games and dvds through lettermail with the clerks knowing for over 5 years now and have never had a problem with the contents inside.
