It depends on a lot of things.e.g which industry will you be working in based on your work experience? Do you intend staying temporarily with someone…where do they reside? Do you love big citiies and the hustle & bustle or you prefer a low-key place? All provinces have their pros and cons. Hi mam, im in canada for 18 months as a WP just filed PR and my commonlaw and kids came here last february 2023, then we file CCB this 0ct 2023, CRA said my commonlaw is the eligible applicant since we live in the same home, by the way mam the question is how many months of CCB payment we will receive? is this a lumpsum? since feb 2023 that the children have landed, will they start to present? pls answer thanks mam

Apologies for the delayed response. We were away for a while but we are back now. Yes, the CCB is paid to only one of the parents but it is for the whole family. The primary caregiver usually tends to be the one receiving the payment. i.e. women CCB is paid on a monthly basis based on the number of children you have. We are unsure about how "outstanding" payments are processed; probably when you file your taxes.

Hey, just a quick question, if you relocated to Canada with your child and lived for 7 years without receiving the CCB because you were ineligible, when you get your PR, does CRA pay you for all those years for ur child??
