Retired and living as an expat in Ghana. We, *my wife and i* are living in our 2nd Apt. and in a few days I will have been in Ghana for 2 years. The main thing I have noticed is, things are not always squared away as far as walls for angles, and where the door meets to close the building. The Plumbing is not US code, but seems to work but have the plumber use all new parts, this goes for the Carpenters as well as the ability to use 2nd hand is available. This has caused me to have a few discussions with my wife Blessing about how things are done in Ghana. my reply is usually, I would rather pay a bit more at the beginning than save Cedis and then have to have a guy come in and fix stuff that was just fixed 5 months ago. It is a very nice looking house but not sure I would like to go thru finding people to build a house for me. Gratz on your channel getting more subscribers.

You need to hire a white/indian man to make your corners and everything straight. A Ghanaian will make your ceiling crooked.

Using a reputable company to build, is vital otherwise anything goes. I have two projects using two builders, one is excellent while the other causes stress. Have you seen how some of these guys lay down toilets? I had an debate with two plumbers for several minutes before agreeing to disagree...they are laying down toilets without using a flange and they use silicone to secure the toilet instead of using the provided screws from the manufacturer. Lastly, I would never buy a new home simply because you don't know if it was built correctly.

@@JasmineAmaa electric fence + bars = prison. I am from NY and now live in Atlanta. America is 1 million times more dangerous than ghana, but we will never install bars are electric fence and barbed wire around our house. Although people walk around with guns just the same as carrying a cell phone Nobody from ghana and Africa living here would never live in such prison like they do in Africa Although our crime rate is on another level compared to ghana or Africa. Africans need to think about that. The living room of this house doesn't have any bars why is that? So why have it any other places?

This house is immaculate. 🎉Our sister utilized the space with intent and it works. You can tell that a lot of thought went into it. Annette did a great job. The lighting as a result of the high cielings and large windows is great and does wonders for the esthetic. The minimalist burglar proofing really fits with the design, (I'm stealing/borrowing that concept without a doubt 😁). The open space speaks volumes. Her builder did a great job. Thanks as always Jasmine. Very nicely done feature.
