It's when you feel you love it so much that you won't drive it because you just wanted to admire it. Got the same feeling to my bike, here we call it "Motor Ruang Tamu" which roughly translates to "Parlor Bike" since it's only sitting there just waiting to be admired at.

Performance mods done by individuals on the NSX are usually bad and make the driving experience worse. There are exceptions if a really competent driver/tuner does it, but generally the modified NSXs are terrible and you should reduce your offer if the seller doesn't haven't original parts.

Honda engineers are not happy. It was a daily. Once it's not fun to drive you lost the reason it was built. After 30k driving miles I enjoy the redline. Won't save it for the next owner

In the 6 years I’ve owned my 95 Midnight Pearl, it’s cost me more than I expected and I’ve learned the hard way that you’d better take it to an NSX expert….Having said that I’ll never sell it and it’s exceeded all expectations….I absolutely love Brooklands Green..

Here is the short version from someone that's owned his 97 since 97. The NSX then and now is not an inexpensive car to own and keep up. It's much better than just about any of the other super cars of the day but nonetheless still costly to own. It's not for anyone the lives in and apartment and pays rent. It's for a person that has a good paying job and financial security. It's for a person that has another car for everyday driving. I know they say it can be your daily but trust me it's not a daily.

It's interesting because it points out there's a tipping point of how much to invest into the car before being to scared to drive it. I've seen situations where people have lambos and someone with a dated car like a 240sx have 10x more fun than the Lamborghini owner. I was blessed to drive an NSX briefly over 10 yrs ago. Having driven both the feeling of fear on the lambo getting hit is greater than the joyride itself. And the NSX is a perfect blend of both drives, but costs going up is changing that.

Drive it like you stole it. Just make sure you keep it serviced and never wreck it. If you ever wreck it make sure you call a flat bed tow company. Have it dropped off at your garage. Then fix it yourself. It will save the CARFAX hit and not drop the value of the car. Don’t ever call 📞 your insurance company.

I don't really understand this video. It seems like you bought a piece of automotive history, unnecessarily modified it (not tracking it, not even road driving it), essentially devalued it through modifying from factory, then selling it because you're worried about damaging it. It might be just me, but I don't get it. Hopefully someone buys it and restores it to factory and thrashes it in the weekends to relive that automotive moment in time of simplicity, elegance, balance and purist design.

i have a 1992 acura nsx, initially leased then bought at the end. it has now 126 K miles. it is the best car you can buy. the cheapest to maintain and the best looking. it still has the original brake pads although the original tires are long gone. the only thing hard to do on looking back is buying two of them then.

Great video. I was actually watching it a year ago just before buying mine. And I’ve spent the entire past year restoring it because it didn’t drive for 20 years. So my experience was quite different from yours. But now that it’s all done, I drive it to work daily, do short and long trips, and it just works. There are those small issues that pop up due to age with things like rubber seals or brittle plastic parts, but overall good to drive in normal daily conditions. I got a bit worried owning one when seeing videos like this because I am also always on the fence about driving it vs it getting stone chips, people touching it at car meets; etc. Definitely the biggest downside of owning this car is this dilemma of “driving vs keeping it from getting wear and tear” because it’s such a pretty and fragile car. Reliable; but fragile if that makes sense (if you use it right it will keep going but doing a small thing wrong can make big issues). Anyway, happy owner and thanks for the detailed info in your vid!

Great video. I agree that a car becoming a "garage queen" is a little sad, but it sounds like you take it out now and then. I want to think that the NSX is soon going to be an investment because there aren't going to be any more made, certainly not the 90s ones that became JGTC legends, but in reality it's a bit of a gamble to buy a weekend car that now costs half the amount a house does.

I’m not really sure you can improve the Acura NSX after the Gen 2 came out. I had a 99. A 2002 and the 2005. My 99 was just the best car ever for a Daily driver. Which I really didn’t use any of them as a Daily driver. I used my work van for that. But I did have 8 Harleys 3 Acura’s and the Cadillac XLR V in my garage. Oh, and my Hayabusa.

@@kent4786 Idk, there is a lot of things that were broken. But those were typical things like. ABS unit, some axle seals (don't know how it is called in english, it's achsmaschette in German), Also had to do some things with the climate system. Exhaust ect. All in all Maintainance in total was 8k or smth. like that. But i lost track because i did a lot of mods too. I've spent a total of 25k euros now. But still sourcing some parts.
