I totally agree that tuition and financial aid isn’t completely ideal in the pandemic. It sucks knowing that we’re paying enormous amounts of money for online classes and no hands-on learning. This is my second year living in an on-campus dorm and I feel like UT is genuinely trying to do as much as they can for us to get that college experience safely. We still have access to the rec center/greg, the PCL, the SAC, the union, etc. While we can’t go to in person labs and classes, I think everything else on campus is pretty available given the circumstances. I think what is so upsetting is that you can only get these amenities if you’re staying near campus which is, yet again, more money. I wish we weren’t put in this situation of having to decide whether or not to live on campus, live off campus, or take a year off because the tuition money isn’t worth it.

great video - but unfortunately universities like UT are nothing more than a very successful large corporation - there is no way they are going to lose money. The argument that I cant buy is why UT does not dip into their enormous endowment funds --- its like a savings account for any of us -- when times are tough that when you dip in to help -- otherwise why just save that money . Its very unfortunate that you are doing the school year online --- it really SUCKS - I went and graduated from UT and my experiences on campus were the highlight of my time there- Hook Em

WAIT did you not qualify because you went to texas tech before ut or because you took dual credit in high school? because on the ut website under requirements it says “Enrolled full-time first-time-in-college”.
