Hey, love your videos. I got rejected without even being reviewed from UT for transfer Fall 2019, I had the opportunity to appeal but I was overseas during the period for the last chance for Fall admissions, last spring I was under so much mental pressure, I didn't know how to handle my two math classes which I was taking at the time which caused my GPA to drop significantly but I am now in full force recovery. I know UT is a reach even though I am applying to as a International Relations major in the liberal arts department but I am keeping my options open I am applying to like 7 schools, still hope I can get in for Spring 2020. I may not be 4.0 material but through my essays it shows my enthusiasm and my value of hard work.

show that you're doing things for international relations through your abroad travels! Yes use your essays to make them feel for you!

saira haque Hey, what did the appeal state?
@sairahaque35225 жыл бұрын
Ehtrix The appeal process says state any “jaw dropping” new information. This could include new transcripts, recommendation letters, internships, job opportunities, etc etc. From my understanding several appeals were approved for Fall 😊 Are you considering applying as a fellow transfer. The information is also on their website as well :)

Tip from someone accepted from UT: I had a 3.9 GPA, and a 1420 SAT score - pretty mediocre stats compared to some of the rest of y’all. I got in because I was very heavily involved in extracurriculars stuff. Just try to stand out and you can almost guarantee ur admission.

How in the actual hell? I thought it was heavily dependent on gpa, I am one unlucky mf.

Amanda, you are a real inspiration to your generation. When I was in college, I saw way too many people going through the motions, and not taking things seriously. College is very expensive. So glad you're using the time and experience to your advantage for future opportunities. Good job.

I have also applied to UT as an international student. Before watching this video, I had no idea about how competitive UT actually is. I am quite nervous now. 😂😂

Good evening, I really enjoyed your info. It is very helpful to me. I am currently at a community college over here in the state of Florida. I will be earning my AA degree in general education next year in the summer. I have been studying at a community college for six years as a part time student. My younger brother just graduated from high school this year in May. He had switched from general studies to IT as a major. He did not even take it seriously during his high school career because he was into video games than studying. However, all it matter is that he graduated from high school in the state of Florida. He goes to the same community college as me. I will be doing internships for journalism and actor. Because my dream career is to be an actor, singer, journalist, and an author in television. Also, I am writing my own book title which is called my life throughout with autism and being a military child. I am originally from the western of New York, and I lived there during my early childhood until I was at age five. I am from Puerto Rico because of my mom, and I am half Colombian because of my dad. He is technically my stepdad, but I always considered him as my dad because I grew up with him as a child. He is the man who raised me as a child. He is in the military, so I had to switch schools from state to state from age five to twenty-one due to his switching jobs where he was stationed at. I lived in first three different states for three years, Virginia for seven months, Puerto Rico for a year, and I lived in last two different states for two years. For right now, I am living here in the state of Florida. Thankfully, I do not have to move anymore because this state is my last military move. I graduated from high school in five years ago, but in the state of Georgia. I will be earning my AA degree in general studies at age 24 in the summer of next year. If you want to know which states I lived in before, my book will be ready for you to publish. Honestly, it is too much to say if which schools I have attended and states I lived in before. If you want to know about it, my book will always ready for you publish as I said before. All I can say is that I have been to six different elementary schools, two middle schools, four high schools, and three community colleges. After I have complete with my AA degree in general studies, I will be earning my BA degree in journalism from UCF. If it does not work out, I will be earning my BA degree in communication from AGMU which is close to my home. In that way, it can help with my career as a journalist in television. You did a great job with your academics and your stats video. It is very helpful to me. I learned Spanish and English at the same time at a younger age. The only Spanish I learned to write and understand it than speaking. I did not speak Spanish until at age 16-17. It was when I first moved to Puerto Rico. During the summer in 2014, I started to write basic sentences in Spanish all over again in that way I could speak it with my family members from Spanish cultures and with the native speakers. Other than that, I started to do better with speaking it at age 17-18. My name is Andres by the way. It is pleasure to meet you. Wish you are the best of luck with your studies at UT Austin. God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️

hey! i’m starting college in the fall. as a freshmen, i’m already going in with a 2:5 college gpa and 12 credit hours. My question is: what do you think I should do, and when do you think is the best time to transfer?

hey, thank you for the advice! such an inspiration. i have a question on how housing was like as a transfer student?
@Fazal8285 жыл бұрын
Most transfer students I know chose to live off campus
@rikinmshah5 жыл бұрын
There's a ton of options on housing. Most of the transfer students I know tend to live off-campus (either in West Campus or Hyde Park). If you have any questions about housing feel free to reach out. I just finished making a video about housing at UT and am going to upload it next week!
