I think everyone of us makeup lovers has a couple of categories where they love the products most and their purchasing is a bit out of control. That’s totally normal. 🤗 But it‘s great to do these inventories and hold ourselves accountable. 😁

I love the fact that you, a big youtuber, are cognizant of the fact that waste is a big thing and you try very hard not to do that. I have seen way too many declutters where a youtubers collection had to go in the garbage because they were hoarding all the products until they went bad. You are not going to tell me they didn't have friends they could have shared all those products with and that is the sadest part. I hear so often, I'll keep it for reference and then I never see that reference. You are an amazing inspiration, which is why I continuously declutter my own collection and pretty much keep the cosplay community in Ottawa stocked with makeup lol. Every KZbinr had a massive increase in blushes. Even HLP made a video recently about products she loves but hasn’t used in a while because she has so much.

I have 14 blushes (counting some in a couple palettes). Trying not to buy anymore but so many new ones are tempting! I think the increase is due to creams as well, as I never had cream products until last year.

Love a makeup inventory! Also love your honesty here (and major respect taking yourself off of PR lists. I know there's so much pressure with being a KZbinr to accumulate, accumulate, accumulate and I truly appreciate the good influence you have here! Your content is good enough to sustain itself without the constant influx of new being its only driving force!) Don't feel bad though, I think inventories are great for, like you say, being aware of what you're bringing in and not closing your eyes to buying habits - it's been hard for me esp but really useful. But equally a really nice way to appreciate what you have - I'll always say if you love each and every one of your 30 blushes, revel in them, don't feel bad about having lots of stuff you love :)

My eyeshadow palette count always floats around 100. No, I am not a YTer. I will do an end of year count and declutter. But my eyeshadow is mostly multiples from loved brands..so most are staying.

I have five blushes, all different: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, hourglass mood exposure, Benefit rockateur, an orange liquid blush from Giorgio Armani which is my favourite (and no one talks about!) and a plum/berry cheek cream stick from Napoleon Perdis. I am very fair olive and most bronzers pull too pink on me so I tend to use bronzer as a nude blush 😊

It makes me happy that you want to discipline yourself and not be heavy handed with products. That makes me happy that your product waste will be reduced. I do think you have a lot. And I know others here are saying “it’s not that bad” but if the goal is to be more sustainable and conscience, then yeah it’s more then needed. I’m not judging, in fact I applaud you for being responsible and honest and not justifying everything. It is really easy to get really absorbed in the makeup consumer world.

It takes all my self control not to buy a whole bunch of blush any time I'm checking out at ulta 😂 I'm pretty proud of myself though, I used up two powder blushes (I had had both for years and used them the most of all my powders) And the cream blush I'm reaching for this summer will easily also be done this year.

I am not a KZbin influencers or an actual influencer of any kind but I put my self on a no buy with very few exclusions because I have a very big collection (I blame myself and Covid) I did how ever just buy the Natasha Denona mini glam palette, its been on my wish list for awhile and finally came back in stock. I have cancelled all my subscription and I no longer watch large influencers and I got rid of tik tok and I try and stay off instagram so I’m not tempted to buy anything. I have been putting things on a wish list and in a few months if I still want I will get a few things. I have been trying shop my stash and I plan on starting a project pan. I have been following more influencers who do these kind of videos. I use to be so more conscious about purchases of beauty products but when Covid-19 came and I was stuck at home I did a lot of buying these last couple years. Nothing super drastic but a little here and there adds up. So hopefully with these changes I been making it will help.

I put myself on a no buy for the rest of the year for anything unless I completely run out of everything I have in that category. What I would expect to replace is mascara and brow gel, maybe a new brow pencil by the end of the year. I have more eyshadows palettes and blushes than I will ever use in my lifetime. I enjoy wearing make up, but I went from.using the same exact eyeshadow for ten years to having a large collection. Thanks for keeping it real!

I have 13 blushes and 9 eyeshadow palettes , these are my only problem category . I mean I own 39 Lipsticks but I am constantly using, finishing those. Every other category has under 10 , mostly under 5. Went a little crazy and bought 3 eyeliners .

This yr has been hard with all the cream products. Especially elf and their putty blushes. I need to go through my collection. My weakness has always been eyeshadows but lately seems to be blushes. I did purchase a new concealer from covergirl which I do really like. I did declutter some concealers that I wasn’t loving. I’m trying to not really buy since I do have plenty.

I have kind of halted buying makeup unless I see a purpose for it. I completely decluttered my collection when I moved like a month ago and the only time I really bought makeup just for fun was my birthday. I have 8 blushes now and that is my biggest weakness.. We may not have similar collections, but it is nice to have a similar mindset!

Your lashes look so long and thick and pretty! Every time you look down your eyes look absolutely angelic. Wonderful! I have 15 blushes, 1 bronzer (that I mix with my blushes anyway), and 6 highlighters. I honestly may declutter one of my blushes. I’m debating between Patrick Ta She’s Passionate and Colourpop Kiss n’ Tell. They look really similar on the cheeks. I love heart-shaped things so I just love looking at and holding the Colourpop blush, but they’re is so much kick-up. The Patrick Ta blush packaging is also so beautiful, but it hardpans so easily. Does anyone have any suggestions?

how i do my inventory is check products: ANYTHING that’s a duo or larger is counted as a palette. Eyeshadow products:ANYTHING that’s a duo or larger is counted as a palette so i count a duo/trio eyeshadow in the same category as a palette with 30+ shades… I just find that’s the most consistent I can be. Either yay I got to much makeup 😅😅

I feel like it’s normal for content creators to have a bigger collection than the average person. That being said…I have no reason to have a collection as large as I do. 😬 I have subscription boxes 📦 that have been a primary contributor to my growing collection. The flip side is that I work in healthcare and since the start of the pandemic I have been required to wear a mask & eye protection for my entire work day. So I’m rarely even wearing any makeup. My highest number of products are lip products, they are my favorite.
