Facts. I make $650/week after taxes, and I always have over 130 stops. It's not really worth it compared to others. I also work all but one day in a week. 24 stops and hour in rural and neighborhoods. I work 6-7 hours a day due to my areas drive. My manager and boss won't allow me to negotiate prices, they tell me it will be based on merit after 6 months. Yet, our starting pay was cut already, so if I do get a raise, it will be right back to the amount I was making in the first 3 months. Work elsewhere, in my opinion. Not worth your effort.

I missed a delivery some years back, When I called to pick up said package, I was told the package is being delivered via FedEx Ground. Those drivers keep the packages on the truck, and the truck is parked after hours. I always wonder how does that work?

Fedex terminal managers require all packages must go out on trucks whether or not they can complete as many stops as they're loaded with. So if the driver of your route was unable to finish their route they could've taken the work truck home and then returned it the next day to be scanned again and taken back out for delivery. Contractors are fined for every DNA(Did not attempt) stop for each of their routes at the end of the day. I imagine your package was ordered around December or income tax time, those are peak times for deliveries.

Sounds like it was a "signature required" package? In that case, the delivery driver should've left a door tag. On that tag, you can go on the website and customize your delivery. The signature required is an extra charge usually paid for by the shipper. Some contractors allow employees to drive their delivery vans home. In that case, any arrangements you made online MIGHT reach the driver the next day

@Q B More than that. Try feeding a family of 3 on that much money. With rent cost and gas and food and utilities? This is why UPS drivers make way more. They have a union to fight for better pay and benefits. 720 a week is only about 37k a year. Top UPS drivers make more than 60k a year. And Fed Ex fights a union every time they try. Which is why most Fed Ex drivers are independent contractors. Like he said.

Your on a pretty average pay too. You probaly do about 120/140 stops a day wit) no pick ups. You can’t beat it really. I’m a bc and make 1500 a week and sometimes work 6 days a week. Between dro and everything it’s about 35/40 total hours a week.

He's not including drive time ...the 3, 4 hours is the amount of time it takes him to deliver the packages so at the end of the day he gets his 8 maybe more ... 8 × 45 =$360 360×5= $1800 1800×4=$7200

We don’t work hourly that’s the thing, we work salary. For example we get $900/wk no matter how much we work. We can work 20 hrs in a week and still make that amount resulting in $45/hr for that week. If for whatever reason we slow down and work 30 hrs the next week then our pay would be $30/hr for that week, so it varies.

It varies by contractor, what you said isnt true for every contractor...I got paid overtime when i worked for ground...Made 1200-1300 a week .@@CLB_Carlos Read the contractors flyer before you apply, and dont apply if they pay salary cause chances are you;re gonna be working overtime all the time and not get paid for it .
