I remember going over this with friends before. Best I can tell, the Straw Hats never had a chance to...spend any of Thriller Bark's treasure. Save for maybe the ink spaghetti in Dressrosa. Like, in Sabody, Rayleigh seemed to do the coating for free and Camie's purchase was a bust. In the Marineford arc following Luffy, he only gave up his armband. In return to Sabody, the only one making purchases was Nami, and she haggled HARD for it. In Fishman Island, pretty sure the party was on the kingdom's tab. Punk Hazard had no shops. Zou either had no shops or the goods were free. No shopping was done in Totland, obvously. And Wano firstly used a different currency and secondly didn't have many goods to offer.

You have to realize sanji almost always gets food in casual visits to islands so thats another expense chopper might need to occasionally buy medical supplies robin typically reads a lot so her buying books would be another expense also god usopp buys stuff to improve his arsenal quite often.

The bounty collection theory has a problem imo. Their own bounties wouldn't just go away if they said they quit piracy, I mean, their crimes, as seen by the world government, dont just disappear. To keep the facts straight, they didn't actually find the treasure vault on thriller. Bark perona was intending to run away on the sunny. She packed the sunny with food and with all the treasure and got sent away by akuma before she could leave with it. So when the straw hats got back to their ship all the treasure was there already

Yeah I think the time period and the exact economy of One Piece really matter here. Doflamingo offered to buy the nation of Dressrosa for 10 billion Belly/Yen, which would be somewhere around 70 million dollars in our world. Riku admitted that the nation of Dressrosa itself did not have that much money. So we can determine that even a successful kingdom in the One Piece world probably only has a few billion berries in their treasure vaults at most. Of course in our world, 70 million is a lot of money but no where near the amount of a nations treasury.

Point 1: There is a difference between _"sea thieves"_ (Morganeers, as Oda-san originally called them) and _"sea adventurers"_ (Peace Mains was Oda-san's term). I doubt that the 100,000 they had at Water 7 got used for building the Sunny because Franky already had all the wood and theres no way that he or Iceberg charged them extra on top of building the ship. I'm 100% confident that they left Water 7 with at least the 100,000.

The straw hat's got nothing from dressrosa. Nami wasn't there to demand money and you may remember they left with navy chasing them. They didn't really have time to load up a bunch of treasure. Plus they weren't really looking for it anyways. None of them are adverse to treasure, but nami's the only one who's going out looking for it

Ive always wondered the same about pokemon. Despite seemingly never earning money and them being broke actually being a plot point at times they always conveniently have money for food pokeballs potions ect.

They obviously just don't want to show Ash taking people's lunch money when he beats them, but it happens offscreen. The times they're broke are when Ash was on a losing streak and kept having to pay out.

I think Brock, Tracy, Cilan and Celmont handle and keep track of the money in Pokemon. In Journeys they actually have a job with the lab so they probably get paid from there.

@@revolvingworld2676 Yeah he might have also gotten support from professor Oak/the pokemon league. The Pokemon league is apparently in charge of raising the starters the professors distribute. Trainers with random Pokemon may be on their own but the ones chosen by professors might get some support to help them with their journey.

Considering how brook was just sailing to nowhere for 50 years he couldn't have killed anyone and whenever we see them in flashbacks they seem like theyjust go to town to town playing music but the flashback in the entire show that got me the most was brook fighting black maria like how can you just be reminded everybody who you knew is dead and just say that so calmy he's a man who has seen some stuff give him the panties he deserves also about the giant gold bell part they could replace the thing holding the flag as it looks like it would be a perfect fit or zoro could just cut it down but I feel like it would be better to replace the giant stick in the middle with it 21:04 why did I just realise that

I would love for you to redo your what if everyone Luffy asked to join his crew joined his crew. But this time all of his original crew members join as well an Ace joints after he gets his flame flame flute and the same thing for Sabo when Luffy finds out he's still alive. And maybe add some other people to that list too that you think should have joined. There is a lot of positions that sailor's need on a ship and it's never a bad idea to have a few of the same position filled by a few people. And maybe all of them can have haki and the six powers and few of them can have devil fruit powers.

Well Zoro used to be a bounty hunter, he should collect some bounties. Plus they are friends with the princesses of several kingdoms so they should be well funded. Also remember that Jinbe can swim and find sunken treasure!
