I'm a bit late to the party, but this video has given me a small measure of hope. Currently looking for work after working a 9-5 for the last 3 years and being slammed w/corporate BS the whole way through, and making "next to nothing" (still feeling blessed because it could be worse, and I know that there are ppl out there w/less), however the struggle is real and the line is wearing thin. Thanks for the insights around picking a high value niche like business. I think this will be particularly helpful to everyone who doesn't have a niche yet, but be aware obviously that don't just pick a niche for the money. If you hate accounting, it'll be a tough slog getting to 10k subscribers producing accounting content!

Can you share how you were able to grow your email list so high prior to getting on KZbin? My main source of marketing is KZbin, but I would like to know other ways to build my email list besides social media. I’m just wondering how people were growing these list before social media lol… if it’s too much to type, a video would be great as I’m sure other people may have the same question.

That’s amazing, congratulations on your channel launch! And great question. I’ll have to make a note for a future video, since I’d have to get detailed to do this answer justice. But the TLDR (aka summary): I earn significantly more selling online courses, but I earn more than I ever expected from affiliate marketing. (That’s just my experience, and might not be universal.) Both are great; I usually recommend that they go hand in hand.

It is! And the online business world has evolved a lot, and I think everyone has their own personal mix of what might work best for them. Yes, you're right, that was a 2024 update from KZbin. The subscriber threshold is now 500 subscribers and 3000 watch hours.
