It's not all a bed of roses on a cruise ship, and not everyone can toggle making KZbin videos. I work on one, so the average payroll every 2 weeks, is pretty precise. However, it's substantially below the average median in the US.

That is a nice amount of money from KZbin as well. Now I understand how many youtubers can handle either visiting cruises nonstop for reviews, or going to amusement parks almost daily. Sadly I was finally refused on my medical to work in a ship. So no adventure for me. In the other hand, I can still enjoy your videos to see the background and information on whats like working there.

But you work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. That’s 84 hours per week, times 2, that’s 168 hours every two weeks. Now, divide 1,395 by 168 = 8.30 per hour, including tips. Out for dinner with 2 other couples...6 of us. One of the ladies with us was going on about tipping and how servers make below min wage. I sat with her and counted the tables our server was taking care of. Showed her the math based on her tipping formula and what aprox bills each of the tables received for what they ordered. It worked out our server was making $160 cash per hour not including her wage. I pointed out that was 4 times more than what she made and our server didn't have to pay back a 200k student loan!!

Also, the YT earnings, were they AFTER YT steals their % of YOUR money, or was that actually what you get in your bank from your work, I know YT takes a huge ammt of time and effort - (you can tell I dont think much of megga big business practices Vs their staff welfare - for them its 100% PR.)

It is really good pay but not only that but he has the potential of profiting more than someone who makes the same or even more than he does. Most, if not all workers on a cruise(while on the cruise) aren't paying rent (unless they are renting on land as well)or utilities and I think most food on the cruise if free for them. So, most money can be profited. Unlike people on land who have half that paycheck cut through bills and rent.

Thank you for posting this, it’s very brave and honest of you to be so open about your salary. When working on a cruise ship, is your room and board covers? How much of that is wage and how much of that is paid gratuities? Is there any cash tips handed to you that you dont have to report? How many hours do you work? Also when factoring how much you make for a month to be factored into a accurate yearly wage. Take your two week paycheck and split it in half so you have one week total. Then take that one week total and times it by 4.3 because a month is not just four straight weeks. Then you take that number and you can times it by 12 to get an accurate yearly wage.

I noticed that the amount you showed your pay check for, is your NET earnings AFTER taxes and after with holdings/benefits. Not too shabby! The average person pays & with holds an average of about 26% of their gross salary toward with holdings and benefits. So one could assume that you are actually grossing at least $43,000 a year just from cruising - plus another $3500 a month from KZbin ($42,000), you are bringing down a whopping 85k per year. With not paying for food or rent and already covering your benefits, 401K?? thats an amazing salary! I had no idea you guys made so much! Good for you! Its actually more than double what I make in the US. So, remind me why am I tipping YOU so much the when I cruse?? lmao just kidding - I am aware how hard you work. But, even your wage from just working on the cruise ship (having no room and board expenses) is an AmazING at 43k. Pure profit baby!
