Company tried their level best to give a balcony cabin to most of them to relax their mind and be cool bcoz the inside cabins were like caged in and lot of them complained saying they are uncomfortable. 5 months i was in a balcony cabin on DK 9. We were jus drifting around the Atlantic. This was initially in March when the company decided to stop all the operations.

Your channel just showed up in my "recommended watch" list. I find it interesting to see cruise-life from an employee's perspective, and learn what is going on regarding starting cruising back up. When I was younger, I dreamed of what it would be like to work on a cruise ship. My skills are in computers, technology and I am also a musician (on the side). BUT, now that I am 60, I am looking at retirement and then being a passenger (again) versus a crew member. Watching these videos, I have gained an appreciation for the crew and what you all go through.

@@jbauth Its your health, its your life. No protocols can protect you from any new air borne variants brought on board by the passengers. Check out the new Vietnam/India variant. Check out thew black face fungus that eats at your jaw bones. Your north American immune system has no inherent protection against these viruses. So go on and love your job. But is it worth dying for? How will you get to a good hospital when you are out in the ocean? You may get dumped off in a 3 world country. Think. And always carry your credit card, a doctor will not see you overseas without seeing the credit card first. Love yourself before you love your job because normal is not happening any time soon no matter how much you want it.

RCCL is class all the way. I miss working for them...I did three contracts on three ships (Brilliance, Quantum and Explorer) and all three were great. I made the mistake of working for Carnival for one contract-in fact, not even a full contract, as it was so bad I quit and took my band home! But good on you for getting back to doing what you love. Enjoy!

Good for u i left ship 2011 and never did miss it .I am home and loving the freedom of be home working but it depends on what type of job u have onboard that is not so stressful i worked in the dinning room and that can be stressful also once u work dinning u have to work windjammer.

Omg, ten months in the caribbean alone in your room with a queen size bed and a balcony, some people are so lucky haha!! And the sunset's colors were amazing... I'm happy that you now do yoga on a daily basis!! My knees would just die if i was doing your plio but i usually try to stretch at least 1h each day along with some body weight exercises ; and if i'm still improving myself, i have no doubts that you will be rewarded!!! (I'm an half boomer and a powerless shrimp lol)
