Thank you lol but you only needed to comment on the videos from May 1 through May 5 because I'm picking one person from each of those comment sections lol. But all this engagement on my videos is nice for the algorithm, I'm sure, so regardless, I appreciate you!!!

I go to market all summer. I crochet earrings, they sell rather well. Your crochet is cute. Best wishes from Finland. Have a good summer in the market😊

Thank you!!! Yeah, I definitely think it was a decent event especially for spring time, since it's a slower season normally!

Hi 👋 I’m Jo, new here. I have binged watched all your videos today. Lol Well done! They are all adorable 🥰 I love ammi’s too. I’m also very interested in the business aspect. I would love to do that one day, but for right now, I don’t have the time. You know, Work, and all! Ugh 😑 I was glad to hear the prices you have on your items as I feel a lot of people way under price. Good luck with everything! And, by the way, I have a CROCHET channel too. Lol hugs my yarny sister. ☺️💕🧶

Omg thank you so much!!! I hope you can find the time for a business, it's really been a lot of fun. But I totally understand because crochet is like the slowest craft known to man haha. Perhaps if you started making things in your free time currently, you can try to do a craft fair in fall (those are the best because people are looking to buy gifts). Even doing one show a year can earn you a few hundred extra dollars. And if you find patterns that are less than an hour, those are the most profitable!

It's so interesting how different regions can be. Because I have higher sales in spring here in Wisconsin. My theory is that people are coming out of hibernation! LOL

Yeah, it's definitely nuanced. I also feel like what you sell matters. Obviously anyone in the bathing suit industry does well in Spring and Summer. And like, for me, I really don't bother doing many winter items because I live in Florida where it's basically summer 10 months of the year. But I'm sure winter items would be a huge seller in Wisconsin!

Do you charge sales tax? I’m trying to figure out how to adjust prices for sales tax.
@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo
@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo Жыл бұрын
Yes! I have a Square Chip Reader (link below if you need one) and I can set it up to add sales tax to prices. And you can run both card and cash transactions through your square reader, so it does it automatically. I prefer collecting the sales tax from the customer, because one way or another you'll owe the sales tax to the county/state you made the sales in. I've never had a customer complain about it either. Everything is taxed at this point, so it is what it is to them lol. amzn.to/3KlYl46

Am asking why your keychains are overpriced I sell mini bee keychains for 5 dollars and you sell them for 🤨😱😭15
@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo
@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo Жыл бұрын
I price them that way because that price works for me and they sell for that. And I personally find that it's easier to make like items all the same price. So all my keychains are $15 ($19 on Etsy to account for shipping). Just like all my plush fruit is $9, even though the blueberry takes less time than the strawberry and the orange is somewhere in between the times on the other two. If $5 works for you and you're comfortable with that price point, I think that's awesome!

No, it's okay! I want this to be a community where we can all share our thoughts/opinions! In the interest of full disclosure, I have thought about going down to $12 or $13 on them, but between my last two events, I have sold 4 keychains, so they definitely sell for $15 but I'm in a higher cost of living area, so I think that plays a rule in my pricing and helps people not raise an eyebrow at my prices. I also partially factor in my time in my prices. To sell something for $5, I'd have to be able to make it in like 20 minutes lol. But I crochet kind of slow I think lol.
