How I felt when I owned my 05 gto. Loved the car and miss it (sold it back in August of last year) and I think anyone looking for a cheap muscle car should consider them. Just know about some of their weak points and that body stuff on the car will be more expensive (typically) than the engine and transmission. The biggest things are the paint, seats and headliner, some body panels too unless it was garage kept

Kayla: Been there and that IS the car bug when it bites. Awhile back I did very similar things to a 5.0 Mustang. Never forget looking at all the "take off" parts and realized I had "rebuilt" a then..new car to make it..mine. Everythung mechanical had been touched, replaced, welded or tuned. No comment on..how much. Kudos for you meticulous record keeping. Most car people have spent more than we want to..tell on some car. Today I enjoy my Charger Scat Pack because its trouble free and fast. For me, now very select changes is it. All about what you enjoy. Do..you!

I stopped counting at $5,500 on my turbo build lol. I've added another $500 in random misc items, and $700 on fuel injectors just yesterday, I still need to get it tuned as well which will be an additional $600ish. I have also wrapped my hood $300 and installed LAstreetfighters carbon fiber spoiler $800. I got my 2014 2SS 1LE for 26k back in March of this year, $8400 total spent on upgrades in less then 1 year haha. I started the build in August and didn't receive my parts until just a few weeks ago so I have let my car sit in the garage longer then I have driven it.

Right off the bat on the sticker they hit you for two fake fees. 1. Postage as they file electronically. 2. Tires, $5 and they did nothing for it. All dealer profit padding. You could have negitiated the $400 documentation fee down to $75 as this is only dealer labor cost and profit padding as MVD charges only the $4 title fee. I would question anything that says 'estimate' given actual price is shown. Ask yourself, why could they not calculate actual tax and fee when sticker price is known?
@KaylaRundle3 жыл бұрын
That is soooo good to know. When I purchase my next car I’ll have a good time with all that

Go to MVD website and get formula for VLT as dealers will overcharge you and pocket the rest. Also from MVD website, each dealer's sales tax is based on their annual gross sales dollar amount....also watch because they will overcharge you and pocket the rest. Watch the Kevin Hunter series on KZbin on car buying; invaluable info to avoid fake dealers fees and scams.
