The locum you talked about, 13:11 Is that $5000/week or per month If $200 per hour then it would be 5k per week then how one adds $60,000 per annual
@sterny_sw6

Locums for IM range anywhere from 120-400/hr from what I know. Don’t get tempted by the $400/hr figure….there is no such thing as a free lunch. Although there is definitely some leverage that we would have…hospitals offering extreme quotes tend to have some “malignancies” associated with them….which we would have to be ready to face.

America has a strange pay system...the Doctors in High Cost of Living Areas (New York City, San Francisco, LA, etc) will get a lower pay than those in a Lower Cost of Living Areas (Midwest, South, etc). And it has been that way for the last 100 years. So you will make twice as much in real terms living in the Midwest as California.
@user-yh1si5vk4x
@user-yh1si5vk4x 7 ай бұрын
Everywhere it's like this. It's not the high cost of living at a place , it's more to do with everyone wants to go to that place , so hospitals can pay less yet doctors would still accept While small places are neglected so hospitals have to pay more to attract doctors
