Just one more awesome video. I chose hands on by the way. I am staying over here until december and rotating in surgery, ER medicine, pediatrics and Neuro, there will another ER rotation at the end which is great because I am just not sure if I will like that, I was a little in doubt about taking neuro here, but I did that over Psychiatry, crossing y fingers now. I am staying here 6 months to minimize costs, and I can't jeopardize my LORS. Thanks for your help!

Minimalism totally changed the way I spend money. I really question the value of anything I am buying and whether I want this item in my house. There are many questions I ask myself and so impulse spending doesn't happen anymore. I love living a minimal life where I either love or need everything I own.

Our financial way of life absolutely needs to be blown up, but at the same time, people also need to be more responsible. I know for a fact that there's a lot of people that simply don't make enough money. I make roughly 100K a year and in California, rent prices alone eat up almost 3/4 of what I make. Throw in dependents, and other financial obligations and it's easy to end up in the negative.

I am not living paycheck to paycheck but am feeling the squeeze from higher food, utilities & gasoline. I looked at my budget constantly & finally realized that I was paying too much for cable, internet & home phone & cell phones. It is a pain to have to renegotiate yearly but really saves money. I have really been spending a lot less discretionary income & creating revenue for more interest, Luckily for me my coach Frost Hilda has been using every opportunity to ensure I benefit from each turn the market trend takes. Best be prepared for what the future will be bring..

I was a Medical Technologist. With a degree in Medical Technology and double minor chemistry and biology. After 4.5 years college education and degree and 25 years plus experience I averaging at least half this. About $45,000.00 per year I was not a doctor or a nurse. A nurse with only about 4 years experience could possibly be making about $55,000 to $65.000 per year at my institution. And with more experience possibly more. Ultra sound tech can make $56.000 to $86,000 per year and many of these only have associates degree the high paid specialized may have full 4 year degree.

One thing you're missing about your salary is that there is an inflation adjustment each year on top of the increase in salary for your PGY level. The listed salaries are for the 2022-2023 year only. So for your PGY2 year you won't make $65,696 but more likely around $67,000 or so.

After doing mbbs, we should do house job and fcps part 1 first in order to apply for usmle. Or after mbbs instead of house job and fcps part 1 can we apply?
@thebosslady6029

For usmle you only need mbbs degree . Not housejob / fcps part1 . For plab you need to complete your 1 year of housejob in order to apply for GMC registration .

Hi Doctor Manik thankyou for such a wonderful video.I had a question to ask. You said medical school fees per year is 50K yearly on an average and stipend is 62K on an avg. So if a person is paying almost whole of the stipened money on medical school fees plus other expense for food,rent etc then how will we manage to survive without taking a loan or having backup from home.Please kindly do reply.Shall be waiting

@debjyotikar8027
@debjyotikar8027 2 жыл бұрын
No I do not have any loans.I studied at a govt medical college in India so fees were not much high. What I am asking is do we have to pay fees during 3/4 years of residency program??? If yes then how much do we have to pay as yearly tuition fees? Is it nearly $50000 yearly as mentioned in the video?

@MV-ro6vj
@MV-ro6vj 2 жыл бұрын
@@debjyotikar8027 no residency has no fee.. He mentioned that med students from US have student loans of upto 50k a year. If you don’t have any student loans after MBBS you will be fine. No loans. No fees during residency. And you get paid around this much. Please note the amount varies from state to state. For example a 52,000 stipend in Florida will hardly amount to 40,000 a year after tax cuts. ie approx 3500 dollars a month.. it isn’t as easy as Manik makes it sound. He will understand once he starts..😅.. managing a family on a resident’s salary is tough as is even without loans. My source of info is my own situation. Husband is a final year psych resident in Fl and I am an aspiring FM residency applicant
