Yeah, if Tail's spin move doesn't count as walking/running because he isn't physically walking/running despite still moving, that same logic can be applied to Gamma and Super Sonic, since neither of them are running either.

E-102 is saving his brothers because he's actually saving the animals inside them. He has one of Birdie's parents in him, so you're basically playing a bird piloting a mech suit in E-102's section. So he's blowing up the robots and freeing the animals, saving his 'brothers'

I'm not sure if you realized, but Big stealing the Tornado 2 did play a huge role in the story. It's the reason why Chaos got all 7 emeralds when you think about it.

I wonder if it's possible to beat the game without the rest of the team's abilities. They can run, but no flight for Tails, digging for Knuckles, swimming for Big, Hammer Jumping (or minimum jumps) for Amy, or hovering for Gamma.

Just want to say, "All's well that ends well" is actually an accurate statement. It's effectively saying that everything that CAN end well, did, and there's nothing left that Sonic and friends can help with. That said, Tails could have had a bit more tact with the tone of his voice.

4:15 I think there are multiple solid reasons Eggman might want to use Chaos instead of a missile: 1. Chaos can flood the city and use the water to clear the debris, either into the ocean or in a predetermined dump site. This lets Eggman start construction immediately. If the missile was a nuke, Chaos is an even faster option. 2. Eggman doesn't have to take accountability for destroying a city if he makes a giant water monster do it for him. Chaos can destroy the city, Eggman can start building on the ruins, and presumably Eggman can fly under the rader. 3. (optional) Eggman can "defeat" Chaos to boost his reputation. If Chaos destroys the city and moves the debris elsewhere, Eggman can now pretend to swoop in, save the day, and be branded a hero. 4.(optional) Alternatively, he uses Chaos as a guard dog to protect Eggmanland while his robot forces prioritize something else, or he uses Chaos as an attack while his robot forces prioritize protecting Eggmanland. The missile would work, but doing so would attract a LOT of attention to himself that he really doesn't want to deal with while he's busy clearing out an entire city of debris.

Y'know, that third one actually kind of makes Eggman having a second Egg Carrier out of nowhere make sense. Like, maybe he expected to be able to beat Perfect Chaos with the power of the Egg Carrier, and the second one was him predicting Sonic and co would shoot the first one down.

Not super relevant to the challenge itself, but I always interpreted Gamma's "saving" his E-Series brothers by destroying them less saving the bots and more saving the animals. I always thought that seeing the flicky with Amy (Gamma's flicky's child) caused the animal to kind of take over and corrupt the robot, so his idea of saving them became destroying the robots to save the animals, and Gamma let himself be destroyed instead of healing himself in order to free his own animal. Just my interpretation of that.

I didn't allow walking for two reasons: 1. It would probably start a debate between what counts as walking or running. 2. I thought it'd be more interesting to use other ways to move around rather than just walk everywhere.
