I have been reading the Quran for over 24 years everyday wheather it is one sentence or three or even a page. I read the arabic and then try to understand the meanining. It has become a habit and If I think that I may not be able to read the Quran on a certain day I begin to panic and then leave everything untill I have read it before the day is over. It has now become a part of my life. I read the Quran slowly but with meaning , remember it is the guide to the straight path and those on whom Allah has been Gracious. Every sentence and its meaning is a very important component to the straight path. Aslamalakem to my best Scholar Hamza Yusuf.

Asallamu alaykum my brother (or sister, akhi or ukhti fil deen) in islam. I just wanted to let you know that you're missing out on multiple hasanat for not only yourself but for others as well. You can gain all of these hasanat by simply adding full honorifics after mentioning the name of an important person in Islam or even Allah subhanahuwata'ala. Here's some more information about this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_honorifics Also, it's better that you refrain from using the abbreviation for these honorifics as described in this fatwa: www.aliftaa.jo/Question2En.aspx?QuestionId=3607 Take no more than 5 minutes to read this page and increase your good deeds greatly Insha'Allah subhanahuwata'ala (most people don't add subhanahuwata'ala after using a common phrase like Insha'Allah but I just do it for extra good deeds). May Allah azza wa jal grant you Janat-Al-Firdous-Al-'Ala in the next life without any hisaab and give you ease in all of your affairs in this life. Ameen ya Rabal'alameen
